Heard about this product and thought I'd give it a try for my three active dogs, two of which are 9. Not an easy choice as I have a cabinet full of similar options. The dogs do very well on this product and I have been pleasantly surprised. One, however, does not like the taste and I have to go through great pains to mask it with salmon oil or peanut butter. Overall I'd say it has helped the two of them deal with the aches and pains of getting older as moderate lameness in their rear leg. I use a cheap measuring spoon from the dollar store to dispense the powder but it would be nice if it came with one.

My cat has been getting this mixed in her bit of canned food for a month or two now and just last night she went from using her own set of "stairs", her condo, night table, onto the bed, to jumping straight from the floor onto the bed! And she cleared it like she was 5 again! She did it again this morning so my boyfriend could see! I'm so glad it's finally really helping her! She's 11 and her joints have been hurting her for a while now. This bottle will last me quite a while as I've hardly made a dent in it! Love it!

I give this to my Pappillon for her knee joint problem. Before using this product she couldn't walk on her back leg at all. After taking it daily for a while, she is now able to walk on that leg without any apparent pain. My only complaint is that she doesn't like the taste so I give it to he with some chopped up canned chicken.

Maybe it works differently for others but did not seem to make a difference with my English Bulldog. But her arthritis is advanced according to the veterinarian.

Love this supplement! My husband and I started giving it to our 9 year old dachshund after she had a second bout of back problems, and she healed up so quickly! I can definitely tell a difference in her mobility and playfulness ever since we started using this. I highly recommend this for any older dog who might have joint or mobility issues!

My vet recommended this over cosequin for my senior kitty with an old back injury. She prescribes it in her practice -- which is only cats -- for old injuries because it heals rather than just relieving pain. Since she is well known and respected in our major city I will always trust her.

I found this product to be of great benefit to my 11 year old german shepherd. He was in great distress with his hip dysplacia and after two weeks of giving him this product he is back doing his daily walks without any discomfort. I am very impressed with Recovery SA, but when I order next time I hope to get it in tablet form as he seems to take it easier this way.

Works as good as I expected. I knew about the equine version and knew that it worked great. So my 12 year old beagle started experience some serious arthritis and I put him on this. It took about a week for him and he stated moving a easier and nit showing signs of discomfort. After about a month he was good as new.

My old dog needed this supplement, and she loves it.

My 10 yr old Yorkie has only been on this supplement for about 3 weeks. He has never been diagnosed as having arthritis but I am working on the assumption that he is in pain from arthritis since it happens first thing in the morning for a few hours and also he has started to have problems jumping up onto the couch. I bought this supplement on the recommendation of my son-in-law who has been using it for his Yorkie. He is 100% sure that it has helped his dog. His dog has arthritis along with a deformity that causes his dog to sometimes just fall over when walking. He put his dog on this supplement and she hasn’t had any falling over issues since being on it. She now can run around normally. I hesitated buying this because of the cost but I only use a very tiny amount (8 lb dog) so it will probably last me a couple of years. When I first started using it my pup had some loose stools, not bad but more than I wanted so I cut his already ½ dose back to ⅓ of a dose. Everything was fine after that. Glucosamine will sometimes give dogs and humans diarrhea if their system isn’t used to it so just give a smaller amount and build up the dose. My dog has only been taking this for 3 weeks but after the first week he hasn’t had any of his morning pain episodes and he now has started jumping up on the couch again so I’m going to assume that this supplement is helping. He seems just like his old self but only time will tell. My bottle of Recovery powder doesn’t have any smell so I don’t know what that other review was about. Also I did a lot of research on giving glucosamine to dogs for arthritis and it states that if your dog already has bone rubbing on bone in their joints then it probably won’t help, but if given early then it should give your dog some relief.

We have been using this product for a few years now. Our dog does well with it...seems to help with his joint pain and energy.

My yorkie is 13. His knee joints and one hip joint caused him to limp in the mornings and on very cold days. Someimes I had to carry him up and down steps due to his sore jointsOne week. 1\4 tbs in his water and he is actually showing signs of being better. He doesnt limp half as much in the mornings. Today he climbed the stairs. Ive done nothing else different, other than adding recovery to his water. Id buy this stuff again

I'm not too sure what the flavor is supposed to be, but my cat will absolutely not eat his food when i mix this in to it. I do however really like the strength of glucosamine in this powder per doseage (many competitors are much lower) , but it would be much nicer to have it more concentrated into a smaller amount
