I bought these for running in the dark. I wore them one morning to test them, the day before my 5k night run. Within three steps, one fell apart. The locking mechanism is not strong enough to hold the lace in. The whole light/lock mechanism fell off and I ended up kicking it with my other foot down the street. So that sucked. These make terrible shoelaces and were a pain to lace into my shoes. They aren't strong enough to use as laces so it was hard to squeeze them into the holes along with the cotton laces. Not worth the effort. Might be OK for a necklace, the light is nice and bright and I like the different settings (on/off/flash). So they got two stars for that. If they can make them so they don't fall apart that would be good. Very disappointed overall. Would not recommend.

I really think these shoe laces are neat! I bought a blue pair earlier from a different company and they didn't work. So, I ordered these new red ones to try them out and they work perfectly and now, I'm bling-blinging away!P.S. I had to cut the ends to fit my shoes.

These are sweet. I am using the guts for a costume, so I can't really speak on the shoelace experience, but if you are trying to find a way to make the eyes of your mask glow red. These things work great!

Only one of the laces worked. The one that works was kind of cool though. I'll save it for a future Halloween costume, but I couldn't use it on my shoes dinner the other didn't work.

FUN while adding a measure of safety. My daughter was training for her first Marathon and this was a fun gift that raised the level of safety as she ran in early morning hours.

Bought these for the Seattle Electric Run, so very worth it! :D Never to old to have fun with these!

Did not work. Replaced batteries and still nothing. This product was either faulty or is just a bad product. Would not recommend it. Sadly, they looked nothing like the photos.
