Just cant believe how absolutely brilliant this is. I hate the candle lighters I have at home, which is many, as I would prefer to buy a new one than try to refill one with gas as I just cant get them to refill properly. Now I've discovered an Elecric Candle Lighter there is no going back.It came in a nice presentation box. All you have to do is plug in the USB cable and let it charge. It has a safety catch and an on / off button. A battery indicator to say how much battery is left. It's very safe as there is no flame just an electric spark which lights a candle without any problem.We as a family were highly taken with it and all took turns in lighting a candle, and my daughter even took a snapchat video to show her friends.I will be buying these as Christmas presents as they are an ideal gift to give someone.

I bought this to use with my log burner. I was fed up of the usual gas style lighters flame becoming a tiny pathetic thing that would blow out at the slightest draft...yes I refilled them, yes I made sure the nozzle was clean...it just feels like the plastic develops some flexibility that stops the full motion of the release valve.So I saw this....and was dubious. It was pretty cheap....and a lot cheaper than the 5 or 6 lighters I've had to bin.So what did I get? A rechargeable pen style body with a flexible neck and the windproof electric "flame" head. It has a button to ignite the business end, a safety switch (that stops the button from working), a strip of blue LEDs that show battery charge level (and a rolling effect when charging) and a micro usb port in the base for charging.In use the battery isn't huge but also doesn't take long to recharge. Since it's not like you'll be using it numerous times during a day for extended periods each time this isn't a problem for me but could be a concern for others who might want it for camping trips where it might be tricky to get it recharged.When using it to light one of the natural fire lighters it can be a bit annoying. The actual electric arc is quite small and tucked down in the head somewhat (has to be like this as there needs to be an electrode on each side). Getting what you want to ignite into that arc can be tricky. It helps that the head can be turned and adjusted due to the flexible neck. I imagine candles would be a doddle to light and when the ignitor failed in the gas cooker in the kitchen this lit the various hobs with zero problems.For me and my needs this was a good purchase but it's far from perfect and may not ne ideal for everyone.

Bought as a top-up present for my wife's birthday - the packaging is off such a high standard, that I'm sure she thought I'd bought her something much fancier. (I did actually buy her some nice jewellery too!)Sadly, the battery life is really poor - we have a tray of around seven or eight candles we use in the garden, when the weather allows, and it's averaged two nights of lighting those before requiring a recharge, which is disappointing.It does recharge pretty quickly - I've been using a lead from my PC - but I can see it ending up in a drawer, unused and the Swan Vestas coming out more often, which is a shame.

Can not believe I have continued to buy gas lighters when these are available. Came in a storage box however we did not bother with ours, as it sits in our cupboard but some people may wish to keep storing it in this box. A micro usb cable also comes with it to charge. We just pop it in our phone charger though, but this would depend on what phone you have, if this was compatible. We use this to light candles around the house and have used it to light birthday candles, indoor sparklers and a birthday cake fountain. Partner convinced this will be good to light the kids fireworks next year but have not tried this yet. It is definitely safer to use compared with traditional lighters as there is no naked flame and it has a switch you turn to on before you press a button that then activates the lighter, I feel more comfortable about it and my small children although would still never let then use it. When you turn this on five small circles light up blue to indicate how much charge is left. We have had this for about a month and use this everyday, and we have charged 3 times. All in all I would now always buy these instead of gas lighter.

Had an issue with first item delivered...faulty battery not retaining charge. Seller contacted and promptly offered replacement which arrived within days. You expect to encounter the odd issue with mail delivery items - what really matters is the goodwill and reputation of the seller to sort these minority's of cases. 5 stars in this case.Item works as described, no fuss. The big win is using it out doors, the wind does not blow out your flame and you can reach candle wicks in a downward direction without burning your fingers. The cat hates the electric buzz sound, and definitely to be kept away from children.

This is absolutely perfect for lighting candles and incense sticks. The long handle and flexible neck makes it especially easy to reach inside glass candles and it bends to an angle of 360 degrees so perfect for any hard to reach areas really. It is so much easier than using a lighter because you don’t risk burning your hand and it feels much safer to have in our home with a young child as it has a child resistant lock on it.It’s rechargeable by USB so there is no need to worry about losing a lighter or running out of fluid now. It charges quite quickly. I will definitely be taking this on our summer camping trips. The fact that it’s windproof is going to make life so much easier when lighting our fire. It’s such a convenient gadget, perfect for lighting any flame. I really recommend it.

Brilliant! Works well and saves buying/faffing around with gas. Presumably will be great for camping too as won’t have issues with the flame going out. I can’t comment on battery life as yet and that heavily factor how good this product is but so far, very impressed! Will update this review if it turns out the battery life is pants!!
