Very light
I have it as a backup for my butane stove, but dangit, spirit stoves are fun!Cant beat it for the price. I will mention though that the spirit burner is brass (not pure copper as stated in the description) and a little thin. It should hold up fine and makes it lighter, but its not like the titanium and heavy bass ones that are bomb proof. The stand is aluminum and fairly easy to bend. Pack it with that in mind and youll be ok. An no heavy pots. (On an alcohol stove?) Performance is good.

Good stove, but would be better with a smaller stand
No complaints except that the stand is a little to large to fit inside my 500ml mug that I have for backpacking. If the diameter of the stand was just a little smaller it would fit, but its still a good stove for the price.

seems to be decent alcohol stove
I check the whole thing, other than some brass shaving that pricked my fingers, nothing seemed out of place. The prongs need to be bent to fit the can. The brass can body seems solid (has some weight to it). The regulator cover works. The cap can seal the can tightly. The carrying bag is thick (got some weight). I bought some alcohol for it. Hopefully this will be a decent stove for my camping set up.

Wow! Great price, light, and efficient!!
Like allot of the other reviews listed about this burner and stand, when I took it out of the box, I did not expect allot. I took it out on the trail and it worked well from the start. The little sack carries the burner and stand well, it is pretty easy to fill with alcohol, and burns hot like all the other stoves that I have tried.I carry a canteen cup and lid when I day hike. I have twig stoves that work well to heat the cup with 3-5 ounces of water to a boil in 5-8i minutes. This stove took the same amount of time with a wind screen.I have also cook a full pan of scrambled eggs and sausages with no issues. The price is perfect to use a couple of times and if it needs replacing, i could keep the stand and sack. At this point, I don't think with proper care and cleaning I can use it as long as it will keep going.Great price and a fine piece of equipment for a day hike or overnight camp.

Squeeze in some fuel, spark and cook - easy, light and fast
These work so well, I have two of these stoves. I like them because they are simple, hot and lightweight. It takes about 1 oz. of denatured alcohol to boil 10 oz. of water starting at about 60F. There are no moving parts. The fuel will not freeze. With the simmer cover (included), you can regulate the heat output to cook rice and pasta without burning the food. The screw-on cover allows you to snuff out the flame and reseal the stove with unused fuel for the next use.I would recommend adding a lightweight aluminum wind screen for most field uses of this stove to cook faster and therefore use less fuel. I use a flint and steel striker to light this - so no matches. This combination works in any situation and any weather conditions. The bottom of the stove gets hot, so I would not recommend setting the stove on a countertop, but it will not get hot enough to burn wood or glass tabletop. This works so well that I sold all my other camp (propane and white gas) stoves.

Pretty Good
For the price point, I really can't complain. The stove itself works well and has gaskets under the lid that do keep it from leaking. (Mine has been sideways and even upside down inside my pack and never leaked OR had evaporation of the alcohol occur over time.) The stand is serviceable. I tend to place it on top of the stove, rather than placing the stove inside of it, as this then allows my bush pot to sit inside the stand where the product photos show the stove sitting. This makes for a pretty solid setup, provided the ground is reasonably level where you're using the stove, and also provides some modest wind protection to the stove.Again, overall, you can definitely spend more money for less product. If you're not looking for the absolute smallest and lightest solution out there, this is a good stove.
