Great for traveling with a goalie
My son's soccer goalie gloves are difficult to dry. They have natural latex palms that are ruined by too much heat and have padding and finger saves in the back. At home I have a 4 port peet boot dryer. It works well but doesn't pack very well.I bought this dryer for traveling. After hand washing and rolling gloves in a towel, I dried them for the 2 hours on this boot dryer. They were 95% dry which is perfect for not overdrying and ruining the latex. They will dry the rest of the way overnight. Wrists are completely dry.If this had the ionizer, it would be the Mac daddy go to dryer. As it is, it's a little warm for my use. It's a little louder than the Peet. It isn't compatible with 220v so it won't going with us to the annual tournament in Spain. It's close to being the dryer I tell the other 18 goalies in training about but not quite. There is probably a dryer on Amazon that would qualify but it was double the price.Since this is lacking an ionizer, I am buying a uv disinfection light. Some days the gloves don't need a full wash and the cleats need to be dried and disinfected too.September 21, 2016 UPDATENow that summer travel is over, I have this boot dryer home near the peet dryer.I took the dryer along to summer, used odor eater spray for the cleats and rotated gloves and cleats after every session. Thank goodness i had this, damp cleats are gross. Half hour each for gloves and cleats and they weren't clammy anymore. Now that the dryers are side-by-side, I can say that the peet is definitely quieter but this one still doesn't bother me. It sounds like the fan that it is. This dryer is warmer. I haven't tried a side by side comparison but it seems as if this dryer is also faster. That's not necessarily a good thing for footwear and real latex goalie gloves that can be ruined by heat. Still, i really like this dryer and wouldn't have gotten the peet if I had this one first.I will never travel without this dryer. Now, to find a 220v version.

Do NOT purchase!!
The item came with a burnt motor smell...clearly had been used although I purchased it as "NEW"! I attempted to try it out and it overheated within 10 mins... (apparently where the burnt motor smell was from someone who used it and returned it because of the motor)

Not what I ordered!
Ordered this for the ionizer for my husband's work boots, and received a cheaper product that doesn't look like what is pictured in the ad. This one has no on/off switch and says it uses a thermal convection process on the box. Not what I ordered at all!

Knobs don’t last long
Great product however after ordering 3 of these products I have had the same problem. The knob adjusting the time is easily stripped. I have 2 of these dryers left and have to adjust the knob with pliers. Any suggestions?

My shoes are dry now.
It works well. It does blow warm air and if you powder your shoes like I do well the room its in smells like that. so keep that in mind. I work outside everyday so my feet get wet alot and all I have to do at the end of the day is remember to put them on this thing and turn it on it has an On setting or a timer for 2 hours which then goes off by itself. I have just used the timer and my shoes are always dry at the end.

Needs a lil work but good product.
I have heavy boots and this unit tends to want to lean or fall over and the out rigors for the boots don't stay extended. However it does dry them very well and it seems to elimanate odor as well. I gave it a three star because it is frustrating how it does not stay extended and wants to fall as your putting your boots on them.
