I felt Amazing in this dress. It was just what I was looking for. I am 5.5, between 140-145 and slim. It fit perfectly. I ordered a large as well, but the large was too big, so that one went back. The quality was high-end. The hoop skirt has a draw string, otherwise it may have been too small, but the string was long enough to go around my waist without a problem. I wear a size 8 in jeans if that helps. The extra bows you can attach separately. I choose to just add them to the neckline, but I played around with different options before deciding. I absolutely Love this dress. I felt beautiful in it and I will get many many years out of it. I plan to wear it while Christmas caroling next month.

I love the dress and definitely got compliments on the look and style. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that there were lots of stray threads I had to trim and the edging started coming off after one wearing. As a costume dress it's perfect. So I'll just use it for special occasions. Just know you might have to do a little needle work if you were going to wear it more often

How many times do we read “I don’t post reviews but….”. Well, here I go. I typically do not post reviews of items I buy on Amazon. I felt compelled to post about this dress. I ordered a couple of options for my planned Halloween outfit and this was by far the best. The fabric is quite sumptuous and the fit is nearly spot-on. I would say it is a tad roomy, but not in a bad way. The sash ties in back and makes everything fit perfectly. The dress is really well made. No loose threads, zipper is sewed in correctly, no frayed edges. Well done. If all of the Graceart pieces are like this, I would purchase again for sure.

This dress is beautiful! The fabric is much higher quality than I expected: soft, sturdy, and beautiful. The zipper in the back is truly invisible except for a little at the waist that is hidden by the bow tie. I am 5' 7" and thin. I bought a size large to get the length and that came out great. The bodice and waist are a little big for me but because the dress ties at the waist it is easy to cinch it in. The fabric and ruching detail are heavy enough to keep the bodice in place even though it is rather loose. If I want I can take in the back darts myself. The dress comes with what at first seemed like an oddly short hoop skirt. But it fits the styling of the skirt perfectly. I tried the dress with a more traditional hoop that I have but the dress looks better with the short one it came with. I highly recommend this for a well made, and true to period style.

Bought this dress for my 17 yr old (at her request) for a masquerade themed grad. She loved it! The material is good quality and it fit very well (see pic) and she was very comfortable in it. For me the Hoop skirt was over the top, but my daughter loved it, so that was important. I would recommend it for the quality and fit.

Quality material, great fit, perfect victorian/civil war dress

Dress arrived today. I'm really impressed with the high quality materials. I bought it for Halloween, and expected it to look quite costumey, but it really is a beautiful dress. Nice deep purple color. I thought it might be a bit too long when I first put it on but, with the crinoline worn underneath, the length is perfect. I could wear flat boots, or a heel, and both would work. I am 5'5" and 132#. I purchased a Large. I am very pleased with the fit. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this dress.
