Good taste Greek olives
They are not Kalamon but they are good Greek olives in a mixture of varieties. The taste is what it supposed to be, sour, I saw complains in the reviews. Salt, is an ancient way to preserve food. In fact, the Romans became an empire because they discovered salt and that made them rich! The olives in their natural fresh form are not edible, they are bitter and sour to a degree that makes your mouth shrink. For that reason they are washed, pitted, and preserved in brine, that is a mixture of red wine vinegar, spices and salt. If you feel that they are too salty for your taste, the brine can be diluted, or discarded totally, but there is no reason to throw the olives out. Discard the original brine and add apple vinegar which is sweet. You can add olive oil or a lighter oil like sunflower or canola. It will take the taste of olives and will dilute the salt in them. In this way you keep them in a less sour liquid that will lessen their salty taste. I just bought a package, for the first time, and I filled two big glass jars with the olives, divided the brine and added apple vinegar to fill the jars up, and cover the olives, because the bag has about half of the needed liquid. I also added a teaspoon of honey on top, for a sweeter taste. Or, you can add only apple juice without the brine. Now, for sure they will lose the salt. They will be good for a long time in the fridge. If you know about olives you will like them, it is an acquired taste, not everyone likes olives, in the same way people react to feta cheese. I am Greek, thus I am picky with olives, I usually buy Kalamon big, black or purple pitted olives but I am pleased with these too, I tried them and they are good quality. Adjust the taste as you like it and you will have 5lb. of good olives.

Great blend of olives -- useful in many different ways
I bake sourdough bread for myself, family, and friends, and one of the most often requested breads is infused with fresh rosemary from my garden and mediterranean olives. I exhausted the supply I had purchased as a discontinued seasonal item at Sam's Club and needed a replacement. These olives fit the bill perfectly! Based on my baking and other uses, the 5-lb bag will probably last me about 3-4 months. The olives are good quality and medium-sized with a nice blend of ripe and unripe fruit. including whole garlic cloves and some sweet red pepper strips -- so you get a lot of olives in the bag. The brine is very flavorful with added herbs. This 5-lb bag fills a 2-quart Cambro container. In addition to using as baking inclusions, these olives will work as toppings on pizza and foccacia (whole, sliced, or chopped), as well as in any other recipe calling for kalamatas or mediterranean olives, or in a tapenade, and would make a very nice accompaniment to a salad bar or charcuterie board.I toss a 1/4 cup of these onto a bed of lettuce and greens with balsamic vinaigrette dressing and crumbled feta cheese for a "Greek" flavor profile. Yum!The heavyweight plastic bag is shelf stable and does not need to be refrigerated prior to being opened.

Tasty olives, Needs better packaging
I’ve liked most Roland products I’ve bought (although their canned artichoke hearts tasted like metal and were mushy), so I took a chance on these mixed olives. They’re packaged in a big plastic bag, which was put in an amazon box with a case of bottled drinks and they got smashed almost too much to eat. I would prefer them in a can or even a plastic container to protect them. I transferred mine to glass canning jars. The olives themselves are good - a mixture of several kinds of pitted olives in oil, with some pimento pepper and garlic slices mixed in. They aren’t first quality olives but are good enough for appetizers or on pizza. I mix them with cubed feta cheese, Italian seasoning, minced garlic and hot chili flakes, and we eat them as snacks. I drained off the oil they came in, which I suspect is canola, and replaced it with real olive oil. I like that these are shelf stable in the bag - I can buy several bags and store them in my pantry.Overall, for the price, these are good olives. If they were packaged better and came in better oil I would give them five stars.

Good quality & good value
I enjoy these olives & mix as an addition to stir fries and to top salads. Great value & great taste as I said.I put this in five jars to save until needed. Seems to work for me.

Good flavor, but olives are really small
While the price point is decent and the flavor is good, the olives that we got are very small. Maybe ok for salads, and a tapenade, but overall disappointing and we will look to another seller next time.

Comment from a Caterer
This is an EXCELLENT olive medley that does not break the bank. I have purchased many bags for use at multiple high-end catering events. Each bag fills about a gallon jar, by way of volume. Get them, you will be happy you did.

Great Value for the Quality
I was skeptical when I ordered this products. I’m pretty particular about my olives but I was pleasantly surprised by this purchase. Honestly the bag sat in the bottom of my pantry for a several weeks before I got up the nerve to open the big bag. I worried they might spoil soon after opening because my family is not as big of an olive fan as me. So far they have kept nicely in a very large Rubbermaid container on my counter for a couple weeks. They are are on the salty side and if I say it, it has to be true because I salt EVERYTHING. To cut the saltiness I put some EVOO on top of my snack bowl of olives topped with a squeeze of lemon. Perfection for the price!

I am very satisfied with the product!
I found the olives good and the large quantity almost surprising. I liked the selection of olives, and the inclusion of raw peeled garlic cloves with them. The olives seem to be quite salty, but that is obviously to be expected and is subjective. My one complaint is the packaging. It's a little awkward to open the package without making a mess at least if you've got two left thumbs. It would be better if they were shipped in a tub.
