Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  We are both first time Detectorist, but for years I have wanted to try this out, and since watching Oak Island, the urge has just got greater so Xmas was a good excuse to get my son one.This was easy to assemble, it's adjustable in length and for the price, I think it's a pretty comprehensive starting model. The coil is waterproof, which means you can use it on the beach or in a stream, you can turn down the detection (watch the video I've done) so that you are not picking up nails etc, and it's pretty much ready to use out of the box.The patch of land we got it for is a bit difficult to do as it has a lot of roots in it an makes it difficult to dig, but we can't wait to try it out on a beach or a ploughed field. The pin pointing feature is good, it helped me find the money we were looking for.Finally, the controls are easy to use and the pick up arm shows when metal has been detected well.The collapsible shovel is a nice touch but don't be thinking you can move big stones or hard ground without it bending slightly.Overall, a definite recommendation especially if you want to spend some quality time with the family!!!

I decided to fulfill my dream for Christmas. On vacation we’ll go with my family to look for treasures. I am happy, excellent service. Well packaged and fast delivery, detailed instructions. Lightweight, ergonomic design for easy, comfortable handling. I tested it in the garden, it works perfectly, Easy to use. Diameter waterproof search coil that you can use it to explore metal under water, ideal for detecting on the beach. There was one metal detector, 2 × 9V batteries, 1 × shovel, 1 × user's manual in the box.Great deal!

I really don't like leaving negative feedback and generally don't, but as this item was very nearly £100, I feel obliged to publish my experience. Read the reviews on this and even watched a video, thought it looked like it would be OK for our purposes. Sadly that was not the case. It only picked up objects that were on the surface, couldn't pick up ones we buried. We tried different depth and even got advice from a seasoned metal dectorist who agreed it was just not up to the job. Have returned it for a refund.

It's ok out definitely finds things and can eliminate some metals, it's a shame no matter how high you put the decriminalisation aluminium will always cause it to go off. If you could stop aluminium being found I would have given it 5 stars.

I bought this item almost as a joke. I tried it for the first time with my friends last weekend and it was fun to find an ancient coin and box at the river. it's possible to change the setting according to the terrain and the material you are looking for. Having never used a metal detector before, it was intuitive to understand how it works. It is quite light. Good value for money.

Bought this for me and my children to use. On the first day after unpacking we assembled it (very easy) and took it out on my Dad's farm. Found some interesting bits and now plan on going to some local beaches. Kids love it, works great! You won't be let down.

Other half loves his new toy.
