BOKARCoffee - 16 oz (1 Pound), Whole Bean

WOW! This stuff is amazing! I remember walking down the coffee aisle of the A&P as a kid and inhaling deeply the wonderful aroma of Eight O'Clock, Bokar, and Red Circle coffees when I was little, and was feeling nostalgic when I ordered this. I assumed I was exaggerating how good it was in my memory, but when I pulled the bag of Bokar out of the package, I was hit with the most wonderful, rich, heady aroma of good, FRESH roasted coffee. It was better than what I remembered, and I have been building it up in my mind for a long time! This coffee tastes as good as it smells, too. It was totally worth it to order this coffee rather than grab a bag of something in the grocery store - even the most premium offerings there don't have the rich, deep, fresh flavor that this does. It is dark without being bitterly dark. I like to think of it as deep. It turns out I was right about Bokar after all! It arrived super fast, too! Matched or beat prime shipping. Excuse me while I take another coffee break......

I liked it a lot. Reminded me of old A&P's offerings. I found that Bokar works best with a grind that is not too fine for a drip coffeemaker or else bitterness creeps in. The beans themselves are very large, dark and oily with coffee oils (in a good way).

Sometimes the coffee is shrink-wrapped, but most of the time it is not. Why not? I strongly prefer it to always be shrink-wrapped, that would keep it fresher!

Bought Bokar from A&P since 1971. Product discontinued 10 or so years ago.We tried many Columbian brand coffee and settled on one that was close. Saw Bokar coffee on Amazon and took a chance. WOW! This is the real deal. Wonderful smooth flavor that makes the slightly high price worth it. Do yourself a favor and try a pound. No need to send me thank you notes.

Not like the old 8 O' Clock version. That was my staple coffee back then and drank a ton. I was excited to see this and that vaporized at first brew. This is priced at a level that is crazy. I can get local fresh roasted from the high dollar place down town for less.

Bokar has been one of my absolutely favorite coffees since I have been drinking coffee, about 60 years. I was so disappointed when I could no longer find it. Then I checked Amazon. Not only was it available, but in full pound bags and in bean form! If you have never tried it, I highly recommend it!

Great product. It was the thoroughbred in the A & P stable for the longest time. My father loved it. Now it's available from this roaster
