Not just for teachers, but facilitators of all types
The book is a great, easy read filled with tons of helpful advice. I'm a workshopper/facilitator who already knew a lot of this stuff -- though my ego appreciated the validation -- and I still took away lots of great tips. I'll recommend this book to anyone who asks for a good reference/resource for honing their facilitation skills.

It was so easy, and I feel confident my group coaching customers will enjoy and learn a lot
I run a business helping immigrants secure a job in Germany in 12 weeks via a group coaching program.I just used this book to create Week 1's workshop skeleton and slides. I can't believe how easy it was. With this, I feel a lot more confident that my students will enjoy and actually do the work. Therefore, it maximizes the likelihood that they become successful with my program, which will be super helpful for my business. If you sell and run workshops, BUY THIS BOOK NOW AND USE IT!

This is a no-brainer purchase; highly recommend
If you're about to give a workshop (or even a lecture), I would highly recommend this book.I generally do not like non-fiction, prescriptive books. I think YouTube has largely destroyed the price to value ratio for these books. But this one is different. It was incredibly valuable *and* I'm confident I'll return to it again any time I am making a workshop.I bought this before giving one of my first paid workshops. I was very confident in my material and had given plenty of free workshops in the past. Once I got the book, I completely ditched my old approach. I couldn't read more than 1-2 pages without putting the book down and changing my workshop. It was amazing. The first half of the book is a process for creating the workshop material from scratch. The second half of the book is kind of like a list of random tactical tips or hacks that could be helpful. I used every part of the first half and maybe 1/3 of the second half.Beyond all the tactical tips, I loved this book for 2 main reasons:1. It made me way less nervous to present. Not because of tricks like breathing techniques, but because my workshop was much simpler and I was much more confident in the outcome.2. It made me much more likely to give a workshop / lecture in the future. I feel like a have a tool (this book) that has removed most of the ambiguity and variability of making and preparing for a workshop.

Great, succinct facilitation guide
Well-written and practical. I especially like the recaps that become a step-by-step guide for both planning content and the art of facilitation. A quick but impactful read!

The one book you need for running effective workshops
I've been facilitating workshops for years, yet learned so much from this little book. I used many, many of the tips in both the design and facilitation of a recent 2-day workshop, and I think I was a better facilitator because of it. Felt better equipped to handle all kinds of the issues that they talked about, many of which did come up! I definitely recommend!

Simple, but Revolutionary!
I was a college professor for 14 years and currently work as a professional speaker. This book changed how I approach all of my speaking events. None of the concepts are difficult to understand and apply, and yet I hadn't figured them out for myself. Most importantly, my audience reviews have been stronger and I'm having more fun!
