iKeep IK1WHT Basic Lanyard Mount for iPhone/iPod - Retail Packaging - White

This is a great idea for butterfingered people like me who tend to drop little things like an iPhone or iPod. What I like best is that it snaps into the iPhone or iPod doc connector so it won't come loose.I took off one star because it seems kind of cheaply made and is much larger than I'd like. All plastic except for the plug. I also didn't care for the large "iKeep" logo, so I used "Goof Off" to remove it. FYI, Goof Off can harm plastic surfaces and easily remove the shine, but this product has some sort of lacquer covering all the white plastic surfaces. The large iKeep writing was on top of the lacquer, so it came off. The small iKeep writing on the plug is *beneath* the lacquer, so it *won't* come off.*** UPDATE ***After owning this product for a few days, I decided to downgrade my rating from four to two stars. The retraction mechanism inside is not at all reliable and the cord looks like it will be worn out in no time. In addition, the plug itself already came apart. All is not lost though... Instead of gluing the plug back together, I've decided to remove the cord from it and use it with a $5 ID-badge retractor.  Heavy Duty (Solid Metal Front & Back) Retractable Reel Key-ID-Badge-Belt Clip & Chain Pull SOLD INDIVIDUALLY  I'll update my progress in a few days.

I have seen positive and negative reviews of this, but because they were only $9, I bought them as part of a holiday gift for my neighbor's teenage daughters who just got iPhones.They seem to like the idea, but time will tell.They are definitely on the large side. I would make them a bit smaller.Not sure how durable they are yet.

At first, the iKeep was pretty sweet. It attached to the phone and wouldn't let it drop, and it was slim and small enough to not be an inconvenience.One day I went snowboarding and had it attached to the inside of my jacket pocket. By the end of the day it was completely demolished! It shattered into a million pieces. I'm not the worst snowboarder, and I didn't hit any rocks or trees. The phone and everything else in my pockets was fine. Could it break easily if it was on your belt and you bumped into, say, a rail or a bench? Probably. Bottom line is, this device had one job and one job only, to keep my phone attached to me, and it didn't do it.

Pretty handy gadget. If I don't have a belt loop, I clip it in my pocket book. Works just fine.

I so wanted one of these iPhone clips, but after making my purchase, I do not recommend it. It is to retract your phone to the base, but it does not. It makes me sad as I really thought it was so cool!

Purchased for son in law who has to have I phone for job, but very physical job and phone kept getting lost. This works perfect, thanks

I just wasn't sure it was going to do what it needed to. Just hesitant the prong would disengage from the ipod and the cord though retractable didn't look that strong.
