Use with every Shimano chain

I toss every single-use quick link that comes with new Shimano chains and use these instead - easier to install, easier to remove, and reusable. Carry a spare with a chain breaker on long rides in the boonies. After thousands of miles between several bikes, no issues, no complaints.

Works great on Shimano 11spd chains

Must have item in your cycling seat bag, along with a multi-tool that has a chain link rivet tool - don't want to be stranded roadside with a snapped chain. Removing the link is trickier but doable. I ended up fashioning a tool out of coat hanger wire (small enough to throw into the bag) to make a "bridge" between a few links. That gives you enough slack to easily pop the quicklink. Look on YouTube for tips on how to remove quicklinks for ideas.

Quick link can save you from walking miles

I have a package of link in my bike bag, breaking a chain is rare, though having to walk miles back to my car is not worth it, fix it and keep riding

Durable, quiet and easy to install.

Very easy to install and durable. I ride my gravel bike over 3000 miles per year, much of which is on dusty, gritty roads and trails. After two KMC chains with the “missing link”, I’m quite pleased.

If you don't have and need life can get rough out on the trail

Purchased to carry in my backpack when I ride. Never know when you'll break a chain and this item certainly can save a long walk back to your car.

Great accessory

You need to keep one of these in your bike bag in case you are going to have a really bad day on the bike. These are the one use clips and you might want to get a link tool to aid in installation and removal. These are for an 11 speed cassette and won't work with a 10 speed chain so pay attention to what size you are purchasing.

Great Link

These links make chain removal and installation very easy. I prefer to remove the chain for a thorough cleaning and these links work perfectly.

Not even fit for one use,

3.5 miles...that's how far I rode before this brand new link blew apart, leaving me stranded. All I was doing was leaving a traffic light stop. Its a good thing there were no cars behind me, and also a good thing (I think) that I was standing on the non-drive side when it broke.KMC has been maligned recently for making their 11-speed master-links one-use only. No re-use allowed. I can see why. They are zero-use in my book. I've never had one fail before, but then again I never replaced the originals that came with the chain before, I re-used them. Ironically I replaced a master link that had been used/opened/closed several times specifically because KMC now calls them non-re-usable.This product is too simple to tolerate/allow defective production. It is too critical to bike safety and operation to allow/tolerate defective product. It is too expensive to tolerate even one bad apple. No More KMC _anything_ for me. A failure like this is a deal breaker for their entire line. SRAM, Shimano or Connex for chains and links. The Wippermann Connex 11-Speed Link is more expensive than Gold, but I have it on good authority that they are long-lived, strong and re-useable for as long as they click shut...tens of times. The cost is somewhat reduced if you buy a Wipperman Connex 11Sx 11-Speed Chain since it comes with one of their links. I'm currently using a SRAM master link with no problem. Put it on the KMC chain, and did 10 miles of interval sprints between 200 and 400 watts.
