Covers the basics of kawaii drawing, instructions are simple and easy to follow and most things are based on simple shapes. This book is a LOT less intimidating than many other, more detailed guides to drawing chibi characters and would be a good starting place for anyone who lacks confidence in their ability to draw.

It covers all the basics for kawaii drawing. Illustrations are for beginner level. Recommended for kawaii beginners. Wish there were color illustrations too as a bonus

I picked this up for free in a Kindle promotion, so wasn't expecting much. However, the art style and tutorials are great and I've really enjoyed creating characters and animals using them.I'm not a particularly good artist (especially real life stuff!), but I can just about manage to create passable chibi characters using this guide. As an anime fan, I'm quite happy with that and having now worked through the book I'd happily have paid £4.99 for the paperback version.Weirdly, the cover is probably the poorest part... the art inside is much better than the cover work and a different style too, so use the preview to have a look at what's within :)

The book was pretty easy to follow for my ten year old and she really enjoyed trying all the characters. Recommend
