Portable Heavy Duty Travel Bird Parrot Carrier Cage Feeding Bowl Play Stand with Handle

I have recently opened up my home to an Amazon parrot, his owner passed away about six months ago and he has moved in and very quickly become part of the family. I wanted to pick up a smaller cage that I could use to take him to the vet, and something that he could safely travel in when we go in the RV or in the car. I looked online and found that in general, bird cages are REALLY expensive, but especially the smaller travel cages. I definitely wanted something that could essentially take an impact since we plan to travel with him and I didn't want a flimsy cage in a vehicle. I decided to order this one, which ended up being under 100 bucks including shipping. It came within just a few days and I put it together pretty easily. This cage is VERY sturdy. I did see some mention online about the door latch being crooked, but this was not the case with mine. The cage is very nice. The latch is heavy duty and not something the parrot can manipulate to open. The food dishes are sturdy and they look easy to clean, much similar to the dishes he has now. I thought it was odd that the tray at the bottom is under the grate, but if you think about travel, it actually makes sense because the grate across the bottom gives him something to hang onto when in motion (if he doesn't want to be on the perch). The only thing I will be replacing is the perch, it isn't quite long enough and slides around if you try to put it in between the water dishes, but that is really no big deal because I would probably have changed the perch anyway. It is a bit on the heavy side, but as I mentioned, I wanted something heavy duty. It is big enough that the bird doesn't feel closed in, but small enough to fit on the car seat or in the RV in between the seats, and the perch on top is a nice feature. It was definitely worth the money, and when you compare it to other cages out there, it was much nicer. I will be purchasing a few other items from this seller. I'm very happy with this cage.

I was on the fence about getting this cage. I had concerns about it being big enough. It turned out to be a great fit for my eclectus. He is an average sized eclectus. He loves the top perch and is very comfortable inside. He flew to the cage as soon as he saw it and took to it right away. He has been climbing in an out of the open door and eating and drinking from his bowls. This cage is a great temporary/travel cage. It is very sturdy and took 10 minutes to put together. I highly recommend!

So impressed with this cage. Sturdy and very easy to assemble. Perfect size for our Ducorps Cockatoo and she loves it. This is such a great value for the price. Nice to look at. Only draw backs are the perch on top is high(but she still gets herself up there), the bottom tray doesn't have a lock to keep it in, and the perch it comes with was too loose to use. All that being said. We are thrilled with this purchase. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I purchased this about a week ago, I got the bigger one, it’s definitely big enough for amazons and African Grays! I would not get it if you have a bigger bird! I wanted it for when I go away for a couple days I can bring my girl with me. I will say it will do it’s job and it’s a pretty nice carrier! But there are cons to this..1: the latch on the door is crooked2: the metal piece that goes in front of the floor of the cage did not have a long enough screw.3: the perch that it comes with is super loose and does not sit still, but it is fixable if you just replace it.4: the top perch on top of the cage where you carry it is also loose, it moves when you pick it up, I believe the screws needed to be longer…5: IT IS HEAVY! Not something you want to be lugging around! But that’s okay that wasn’t personally my intended purpose.I will say it’s nice, it’s a beautiful carrier, I will say, if I knew what all the cons were before purchasing, I probably wouldn’t have bought it..Also if you buy a perch don’t do what I did and buy one without a metal disc and washer, I bought one with a wood back and since the metal is flimsy the perch does not stay still…I hope this helps! It’s very sturdy, and easy to transport my parrot

Use this to take my Congo African Parrot everywhere. When I spend the night at friends or AirBnB he contentedly steps in every night so I can rest peacefully knowing he is safe. He actually loves hanging out till I get moving in the morning.WELL BUILT , sturdy clamps! The only "negative", perch could not be lowered for my large parrot, he appeared humped over so we lowered perch with ziptie, check in pic to see what I mean.I just LOVE this, as HE DOES TOO :)

wire bars are not welded good they came off birds can get hurt

This carrier is not recommended for African grey parrots. The bar spacing is off and the metal is not very sturdy to support screw on perches. They will swing. The doors have a cheap spring that my grey chewed on. The dish trays are terrible as they move around and clank.I threw it in the scrap pile out back.I FEEL THIS PERCHASE WAS A WASTE OF MONEY AND MY TIME.THANKS
