Stay-Put Shower Curtain Rod Mount, 2 Pack

My mom's shower curtain always falls when it gets dry and hot from keeping the door closed in winter. I bought these hoping if she forgets to leave the door open there will be enough flexion and grip that I won't have to reinstall the tension rod. I don't want to drill through the solid surface and reviews on using caulk were mixed.

Works great for shower rod installation

I bought these to mount shower curtain rods where I did not want to drill holes and the small footprint of the spring tension rod was not strong enough to hold up on a smooth wall surface. The increased size of the pads provides a firm and non-slip surface for holding up the rods with double curtains. One negative was that the end caps of the standard spring rods were too wide to fit into the cups of the mounting pads. I took a knife and trimmed the the flared and of the spring rod caps until they fit. Problem solved. Even with that one hiccup, I would order these again.

I bought this to elevate my curtain rod, which it did. However, it kept sliding down the wall, so installation needs an extra set of hands.I was able to rest mine on top of the tub enclosure which got it to the height I wanted. However, not resting it on something requires a rod with sufficient tension. Alternately, there is a small hole in the center of the mount where you could put a small nail to stop it from sliding.As mentioned in another review, the rubber base is not a suction base, so don't count on it for anything but cushioning, which is why I gave it four-stars instead of five.The build quality is great and the large surface area provides great pressure distribution.

I was very ashamed to have to purchase these; but when the shower curtain falls down and you're on your second rod after resetting the rod time and time again (having an 8 year old child didn't help matters either; but I can't punish the child unless I catch em' in the act, lol, whom I'm pretty sure likes to mess things for a giggle. Gotta get smarter), that's where frustrations build. I almost bought table toe caps to add pressure to the rod ends; but naturally they don't come with grips, so why not buy the 'actual' caps with grips and a larger surface area to grab on the wall? BRILLIANCE!!! lol... Since I added a linen shower liner, it adds more weight to the rod; but this product is helping out considerably well compared to the shower rod that I end up having to replace over and over again because it's a set once and never again (since I buy it from Menards, I'm too lazy to look up the item and leave a one star; lol).

It fixed the problem but they are massive .

This is the 2nd home I’ve bought these for. I recommend them as they keep the wall from getting scratched and the paint doesn’t rub off. I rest them on the top /outer edge of the tub surround. If someone is taller they may need to be placed higher.

Definitely does the trick. We had a shower curtain rod that if we were lucky, would fall down once a month; we averaged 2-3 times a month. We put this up in February of 2018 and as of June 2018 has kept the curtain rod up. Our shower walls are a tad uneven (not great tiling) and it works fine. NOTE: putting this up is a two-person job. You need one person to hold one disk on one side of the shower while you have the rod with the other disk on the other side of the shower. UPDATE: a year later, the curtain rod has stayed in place. Very happy with this product!

Not the Fault of the product. But if you have glass or porcelain tiles that are as smooth as glass these probably won’t work. They didn’t for me so back to the drawing board.

I love this shower curtain rod mount. The solution to my rod not to slide or fall... PERFECT!! Worth buying for 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

If I could rate it 0 I would. Doesn't work. Don't waste your money.
