I had bought a cost-effective set of glass food storage containers and was so disappointed.I work in the food service industry and every kitchen I've worked in uses Pyrex and Rubbermaid.They're always worth the money/investment.THIS PARTICULAR PYREX is my favourite size (3-cup rectangular - red lid). Perfect for my husband's sandwiches on rye bread. We buy bread that is not the "standard" size so the sandwich specific containers are never big enough.Really it is just the perfect size for individually portioning anything.The lid is perfect. The glass quality is perfect.As mentioned before, Pyrex is always worth it and you'll never regret buying a Pyrex item.

I've bought about 20 of these and I'll probably buy more in the future. Every time I make a big batch of chili I fill them all up about 2/3 of the way and eat them over the following month. Some of the lids are a little looser than I'd like, so I wouldn't recommend trusting the lid to be secured well enough that you can pick up the dish with it.Be careful with the lids in general, really. They won't last forever if you abuse them, and although I've seen people reference Pyrex offering a (lifetime?) warranty on them, I can't find any reference to this on their website or the product packaging.
