What are Impact Fenders made of? The exterior is made from a 32 ounce PVC coated polyester, the same material used to make white water rafts. We chose this material because we want our fenders to be durable and long-lasting. Inside the fender is a closed-cell, recycled polyethylene foam. This material is extremely dense, allowing our fenders to absorb the impact between your boat and whatever it touches. The medium fender has a pliable interior between the layers of foam, which allows it to bend to fit the shape of your boat. It will keep its shape until you bend it back. A stainless steel grommet at the top and bottom of each fender allows you to use the fender upright or sideways. The fastening system uses a polypropylene webbing that loops through the stainless steel grommets and fastens with a clip. Once the clip is set, the fender will fasten in the right place every time. What size are Impact Fenders? Our standard fenders come in two sizes. A medium that is 2” x 12” x 21.5” and a large that is 3” x 16” x 27”. Medium fenders are recommended for boats from 14’ to 25’ in length, while the large fenders are recommended for boats 25’ to 50’ in length. What does my order come with? 1 Impact Fender and the quick and easy webbing and clip fastening system. Handmade In Colorado, USA All Impact Fenders are handmade by us, in Durango, Colorado, USA.
