These are really nice. They are wax, and seem to fit most places standard tapers fit.If you need, you can shave or melt the base a bit to fit.This set was delivered as 3 twin packs, with a remote included in one of them (so 1 remote and 6 tapers). The remote did not work at first - I pulled the plastic tab preventing battery discharge during shipping, and nothing. I pulled out the battery and re-inserted it, and it starting working at that point.The remote is not 100% reliable, but send power off and power on commands, not a toggle. This means that if one or two of the lights do not turn on or off when you hit the button, you can hit the button a second time without affecting the others. Also, the push-wick system works reliably and well. Yes, the wicks stay black in color and the light comes from just below them, so they do not look exactly like real candles. No one has noticed really.You can choose between solid and flickering and several different light levels. They don't provide enough light for tasks, which is probably very accurate for 6 candles.

These are awesome candles. They are great choices for tapers and are so like the real thing. Love them.

Candles work ok but remote control does not work. No response from company.
