Cobalt Aquatics Mysis Spirulina Flake, 5 oz,Natural

My reef fish love this stuff, but like flake food, by the time I get halfway through the can, its tiny flakes and no more big flakes. Gets a little messy one added to the water unless I pinch it together.

I use this along with the Cobalt Discus flake food, Hikari Discus pellets, and Hikari freeze-dried blood worms to provide a varied but balanced high protein diet for my growing discus. Some eat only one or two of the four foods, others are pigs and eat anything I put in the tanks, including my fingers, so for my crew, variety is the key. There are other products out there with a higher Spirulina content...some as high as 35%, but this product seems well balanced because it is partially derived from Mysis shrimp as well as the Spirulina, to enhance the flavor and broaden the spectrum of fish that will be attracted to it.

I began using this product in the smaller cans to try it out but have since started to purchase this product in bulk because I have had such good results with it. Both my veggie and meat eaters love this food and they have good color as a result. I supplement with freeze dried krill for my meat eaters but I'm not sure this is a dietary requirement because this product is very well rounded in the formulation. Also, this product does not "stain" the water the way many other flake products do. After 25 years of salt water fish keeping I have been through a LOT of food products but this is my favorite.

I have been feeding this great food to my large Cichlids and Red Hooks for years. They really gobble it up. Love the larger than average flakes. My fish are all in their teens and doing well - I credit this food!

I have very picky clown fish and this is the only food that they will eat. I've tried others but they refused them. good quality, good price

What can I say about the flavor?! A hint of fish guts with a mix of seaweed and micronutirents for your finned friends. Smells fishy. Dont Eat it. Flavor sucks.Fish love it tho! Even my mullets nail it like their hammering the brine shrimp... must be good if they eat it

Goldfish like it. Large flakes are good to keep it out of the filter longer. Good value - I split up the large size into several bags to keep it fresh.

It's fish food, the fish seem to like it. 😊 Same as what you get at the fish store.
