My first shipment was lost so I was hesitant to reorder but I did and I am so glad! I needed salt for everything from cooking to canning to curing bacon and this salt is perfect. Great quality and so much more affordable than many other brands. Came quickly. 50# is heavy, so I’m thinking the first shipment that “got lost” was somebody didn’t want to lift it. But now that I got this bag I will definitely order it again.

The bag was sliced during processing. Rather than removing from stock, scotch tape was applied over cut. Cheap tape was used, didn't even stick to original package material. Totally disappointed in quality control.Update:I sent photos of product to Sea Salt and short note about my concerns of the quality control. Within a couple of hours they responded asking for more information. They investigated and found the bag in question came from third party distributer. They apologized and promptly sent a new bag of salt. I want to thank Sea Salt for their prompt and courteous response.

The product came pretty much in one large rock. Had to break it to use it. Not sure how it will store from here on out.

I haven't used the salt yet but I purchased it for tanning hides. It is fine ground as described which is great and it comes in a very sturdy woven plastic, stitched closed bag and shipped very quickly. Top marks all around
