I used to own a lamp like this in gray and it lasted for years so I'm hoping this one will also have a long life. So glad it came with a bulb. I'm happy with this purchase.

I bought this to replace a similar lamp that I bought ages ago. The bulb went out, I think for the second time in the many years that I owned the lamp. I found it was almost just as much to replace the bulb as it was to buy a new lamp, so that's what I did. I noticed that the light is not quite as great as my old lamp. I think they just don't make those bulbs with the same quality as they used to - or maybe I just need to find a better one to replace the bulb that came with the lamp. I'll wait for it to burn out before I try to find a better bulb. It still lights up really bright & it's great for working with small things that require good vision. The light and a pair of reading glasses & I'm set! Despite the slightly dimmer light, the stand is much prettier that my old stand - I have the wood grain pattern. It also has a very flexible neck so you can turn it in a number of directions - point it far down or pull it all the way up and twist it to either side. It's a wonderful project lamp. We have it sitting on the living room table and we use it all the time.

The lamp has a nice construction, but the one I ordered never came on. Strange light bulbs, I'm not sure if they are all like this. So I'm not the best to recommend or decline. I simply returned it and didn't try them again. The worst is to need a lamp and be disappointed.

Attractive,but much larger than it appeared to be from the photo. &It's quite heavy.(I suppose due to how big it is).It does look very attractive,classy, andprofessional for an office desk!! Or,for a homework desk.👍

This is my third unit. I have already ruined two of them during bulb replacement. The retaining clip seems to be spot welded in a single location and if you’re not carefull it breaks away and you are stuck with a bulb hang below the shade

I bought this lamp for use in my temporary outside office (on a picnic table, no less). The tiki-lights surrounding the covered patio put off good light for hanging out, but not for doing any work after dark. If you're wondering, we are staying with inlaws after returning from overseas. There is no place in the house where I can set up and LEAVE out my computer and work stuff, so I always commandeer the back patio. Anyway ...This lamp does exactly what it says it does. I only wish it spread a slightly larger circle of light. I don't need lighting for my monitor, but it does illuminate my keyboard beautifully. Great but not perfect, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.What I have done to light up a greater area is to set the lamp on a table behind me and adjust the arm so it's pointing straight up. I then aim the light at the wall behind me, and it bounces off nicely, giving the whole patio (and part of the yard) a nice golden glow (the wall is yellow, so the normally white light is transformed).All in all, it works for me. I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), so I need added light in the colder months. If you're like me, this lamp is definitely for you.

Next month I will have had this lamp for 12 years. There were periods where I didn't use it very often (worked out of an office, so no need for my desk lamp), but over the last couple of years I have worked from home exclusively and this little guy has been put to work. I live in the Pacific Northwest and the months from November through May can be pretty dreary. This lamp illuminates my desk far better than the glow of my monitors or the lighting from around the room, reduces eye strain, and makes the dark days a little brighter (pun intended). I have yet to replace the bulb, but it's great to see that this model is still being sold and replacements are still available if needed. As others have mentioned, the lamp's base does have a large footprint, so it takes up a bit more desktop real estate than I would like, but that doesn't make me love this lamp any less. It's not fancy (I have the black plastic model), but it blends in with my black monitors and computer/network hardware just nicely.If you're looking for a nice, bright lamp that will help you see your tasks, hobbies, reading, etc., and don't mind choosing function over form, look no further.

Don't bother to buy it If you are buying it to use outside US. Mine works for couple of mins and the tube stop working. As the wattage not suitable for Australia.

This is a great modern lamp that I've been looking to buy in the past. It is bright enough to read a book in a bed with. It also has a dimmer with 3 settings. The is affordable. Couldn't be happier with it this purchase.

The lamp is as described and provides a more natural light, easy on the eyes. It is physically bigger than what I was expecting but its design and flexibility allowed it to fit on my small office desk. I would highly recommend at this price.

The bulb arrived broken. It will cost more money to buy another bulb for this product.

Purchased about a year and a half ago for couple of plants at the office. On a timer and works well. The only thing is the bulb loses its intensity after about a year so needs to be replaced but that is expected.
