How to Draw Anime (Includes Anime, Manga and Chibi) Part 2 Drawing Anime Figures

I picked up the first of these books at a craft store, and it worked so well for me that I decided to pick up the second. For reference, these books were originally created as a safe reference for kids/teenagers to learn to draw anime. I'm a woman who is well, well past her teenage years, and it's not that I have a particular fascination with anime, but I've recently gotten back into wanting to learn how to draw. I guess drawing anime characters seems a little tropey at this point, since it seems to be everyone's starting point, but I've always liked the style and I find it a little easier than trying to draw realism.Anyway, none of you asked about my drawing history. While I learn better, in some ways, watching videos, I also really like that I can lay this book out and practice the same thing over and over without having to rewind anything. Plus, there are exercises (more in the first book, but some here as well) where you can trace over things and learn that way. You're encouraged to trace and draw inside the book, but I prefer to use tracing paper and blank pages. Still, do it however it works best for you!

I already have the first book so I had to get the second! It helps a lot and it’s helping me learn how to draw anime well. Pretty easy if you practice!

My 11 year old granddaughter loves it

Decent explanations and easy to follow images. I like having the arrows showing direction and flow. This was helpful in reminding me of the little details of motion that I sometimes fail to include.

Cool intro how-to book that covers the basics.

This book was purchased for my 10 yr old and they love it. They got book #1 first and loved it so much they needed to get book #2. They said that both books are great for beginners and have some advanced things in them as well. They enjoy the way that it teaches and how found both books to be super helpful.

The book was written very well, It has helpful human anatomy tips is very useful for artists just starting out. As well as artist's struggling with anatomy.

Bought to help my daughter with her drawing... its OK for the price... few good tips etc...thought there would be more to copy but it's a good little book really for kids or adults wanting to learn some anime skills.
