You get what you pay for.
This is a review of the 3x telephoto lens only; I didn't get the full lens kit. I ordered this based on all the 5-star reviews. Disappointed to find that it does not work well if your phone has a protective case. Yes, the clip can accommodate the extra width of a case, but even the thin case on my iPhone 6 moves the telephoto lens away from your phone's camera lens. The result is a photo with a black circular border. You can crop that out with your phone's editor without losing too much resolution. This makes the lens barely acceptable since it is too much hassle to take the case off and on every time. The other issue is that, with or without a case, the lens has a pronounced fish-eye effect, where everything is curved outward around the edges and blurred. Again, cropping will help that some. The lens is adequate for it's price, so I won't send it back.

Although the price is amazing, the image quality is poor
Many reviewers have given this item raves. So I crossed my fingers and took a chance with the lens. I'm afraid the old adage about getting what you pay for remains true. Although the price is amazing, the image quality is poor. Essentially, the image at its edges is blurred and even smeared. The center tends to be sharp but the smearing shows almost immediately, making shots that need to be sharp throughout unusable. If you are into images that are blurrier than mid 19th century lens, this product is for you. Arguably, it may be effective for "art" shots. But be aware that the smearing is so obvious that for a normal contemporary photo, image quality is unacceptable.

Produce level quality
Works as advertised, but don't expect any quality increase. These have the optical qualities roughly that of a potato.

but I would be happier at a lower price point
Used on a Samsung S7. You will need to remove your case. I found that while it will give you some telephoto ability it has some focus issues. The center of your picture will be ok, but the edges will be slightly out of focus. I bought to use at a concert and I took some photo's with it but the majority I ended up leaving off. I'm going to keep it and will probably attempt to use again, but I would be happier at a lower price point. For $30 I was hoping for a little more. It is constructed good and comes in a nice case.
