Rii 10038-BM i8 Mini 2.4GHz Wireless Touchpad Keyboard with Mouse for PC, PAD, Xbox 360, PS3 (2.4G Black)

So I don't normally write reviews but I felt this item deserved a review. I am strictly using this for my Android TV boxes. I used to have the Rii mini wireless keyboard and loved it. It worked great but my son chewed on it so it no longer works. I purchased 2 of these to use for my boxes and the first one i opened was broken. The power switch didn't work so the device was always on. But I plug it in to see if it works anyways. I'm sitting on my couch no more than about 8 feet away from my android box and it doesn't work. So I charge it for an hour and it still doesn't work. If I stand right next to my box and use the remote it works just fine. Anymore than 3 feet away and it doesn't work. I thought maybe it was just that remote since it had a broken switch but both remotes do it. I'm also using 2 different branded android boxes so I know it's not that. I did not try it on a computer because I did not purchase it for that purpose and it says in the description it works on adored TV boxes.So I'm not entirely sure where all of these good reviews are coming from but I am very unhappy with this purchase but I'm very satisfied with amazons return policy. Probably the best available.

This little thing works great. First of all, it is plug and play so it's very easy to setup. Keys are very responsive. The center works just like a built in laptop mouse would also. I use it with my Android TV box and it works flawlessly. Anyone who owns a TV Box or plans on getting one should definitely get this controller with it as most remote controllers that come with your TV Box suck. For anyone with an android TV box even someone who uses their PC as their media center and want a remote controller that works great, get this.

I want to like it but I'm having a hard time. It has a short range. The buttons stick. The mouse pad isnt great. Its better than having a full size keyboard in the living room but just barely cuts it. I'll probably be looking for a replacement soon.

Buttons feel great, the only issue I've found is it has a fairly short range, if your wanting to use it 20+ feet from the dongle it's kind of hit and miss

I got this keyboard a few days ago, and it works HORRIBLY.From about five feet away, it will only work if there is clear line of sight from the keyboard to the receiver plug on the front of my computer. If my leg is in the way? No signal.Also, even when it's working, it still only registers about 90% of the keystrokes... which is AWFUL. Imagine typing where you lose one character in ten. It makes even typing in domain names impossible.
