Great to put in each car. I got them for my nephew and told him to tape it close to slit seat belts holding down baby car seat in event of emergency. I bought them for strictly emergency situation, but could open letters or cut twine. I'm sure there are other applications, but I saw a need to be able to remove a baby seat from seat belts quickly in an emergency and I think they will be fine for that.

When used correctly it will cut through a seat belt like butter requiring little effort. A good item to keep in the center console or glove compartment of any vehicle. Can also be used for fire personnel.Consult you local Fire Department and they will show you how to use it correctly. This cheap tool can save your life.

I use seatbelt cutters in place of trauma sheers to remove clothing from patients...they are good and got the job done a few times but could definitely be a little sharper.

These are very sturdy and while I have not yet driven my car into a lake or had a severe side impact requiring the belt be cut, I believe it will do the job. I hope I never use them.

Have not had to use yet luckily but it came as described. Glad to have the peace of mind that I have one should the situation ever arise that I need one.

Seems safe enough and straightforward; great tool to have on hand, just in case.... we keep them in the side door pockets of our vehicles.

I keep this in my truck and my wife's car just in case. I ordered two but didn't realize when you order this it comes as a pair, so I ended up getting four total. Sweet!

extremely compact and easy to carry with you at all times

Luckily I've not had to use this and hope I never do. I think my husband and I were on the same wavelength this Valentines - no chocs or meals out as we're both trying to shed a few pounds so I bought one of these for each of us and he did the same with the hammers for smashing crazed windscreens. Anticipating car crashes may not be optimistic but trying to save each other's lives is romantic in its way!

I've seen my fair share of RTCs and it's sometimes very difficult to cut through seat belts which do exactly as they are designed, to keep people safe. I bought these for all my family as a wee stocking filler present at Xmas. The cutter can be safely kept in your glove box or central storage, or even in your door pocket.

Good safety device. Hope never to have to use it.

Was very excited to get these delivered to add to my emergency kit in my car. I was shocked to see that the blades are completely rusted, to the point that the rust is dripping on the blades. Will be returning!
