Just built a computer with my old CPU and used a low end motherboard that only had one 4 pin PWM header. As long as you plug this into a 4 pin header you will have PWM control over all three fans. I noticed some reviews say they ran at 100%- that is a straight out lie. Connect the controller to your 4 pin header and the power to sata and your fans to the controller like any self feeding adult and you will be all set. Works as advertised and has a nice braided cover for a clean look.

These are great. Was able to run two fans that had alot of draw and didn't just want to split them into the header since it was over 2amp.With this you use the SATA power header and you still get the 4 pin connection so that fans are still able to auto adjust.Used this on my alienware r16 were adding things is a little difficult

I have an industrial 5000rpm fan in my PC that can pull more than my motherboard supports, so I use this to alleviate the problem. Pwm pin still goes to Mobo to control speed so it works great.

The quality was better than I expected. Bought two with no issues. This takes SATA power input which allows you to connect all the fans you need. If you do connect to the motherboard fan jumper, just make sure your fan amp draw/load is no more than what your motherboard outputs. Most motherboards can handle about 1a, but check you MB specs. Fans can draw up to about .2 amps each depending on the brand and model. So, this cable easily can connect several fans. I suggest using a free SATA power port if you're unsure.
