Hummed and hawed over which sharpener to choose and took a gamble on this set. It’s great I’m now slicing through tomatoes with ease and chopping onions and garlic, filleting fish and chicken has become so much easier and now knives don’t skip and cut me instead of the food. . It doesn’t sharpen serrated knives but I like it and it does exactly what I need it to do

Firstly I know how to sharpen a knife having worked as a slaughter man butchering everything from a lamb to a bull. I wanted a sharpener for my wife to use as I'm away from home all week and got fed up with sharpening 10 knives every weekend the product works well for standard knives I was very impressed just go easy with the tool and find out what works for you , the bread knife and scissor sharpener work very well. I'm afraid when it comes to santoku knives it simply didn't work so I will continue to use my Robert Welch sharpener for those knives which have a fifteen degree edge that's why I only gave it four stars.

Great choice for different type of knives, plus sissors. Easy to use , small and keeps the blades super sharp.

I’ve purchased several sharpeners over the past few years, these fell into two categories; either slow to use but sharpened effectively or fast to use but failed to sharpen the knife. The Sharpal offers the best of both. Quick to sharpen and give a good sharp edge. Have used both the 20 and 15 degree sharpening slots and both work well. Initially used the carbide slots to set the blade angle but now only use the ceramic slots typically every two weeks. The first sharpening took around 30 minutes for 6 knives. However, subsequent sharpening only takes about 10 minutes to sharpen 6 stainless steel knives in AUS 8.Only negatives to mention are that there doesn’t seem to be a way to remove the ceramic sharpeners for cleaning. Though the instructions say that cleaning is not necessary. Also I cannot figure out how to use the scissor sharpener.Worth saying that, in my opinion, the negatives mentioned are relatively minor.Excellent product.

Doesn't sharpen as described, especially for serrated knives and scissors. Would not recommend.
