It finds fish. This thing has worked for me several times. One example; I didn't even know there were yellow perch in the Ohio River near me. This thing found a school of them and I caught several. Well worth it. I also found carp, catfish and bass. Just a note from experience. Just because you find em it doesn't mean they will bite.

Lost the transducer, snagged line and snapped, washed downstream. Is it possible to buy just a replacement transducer?? Works pretty good but display is extremely hard to see in sunlight or if you have fishing glasses on. Kind of defeats the whole find and fish reason for using it. Now I'm left with just the handheld part. Might just toss it.

When running it through the river, it seemed to detect a lot more fish than were actually there. And when the sensitivity was turned down 5 percent they all disappeared. Not 100% sold on it yet. I'll give it a few more tries before it goes for a permanent swim.

Used it twice on new lakes, still getting the feel of the accuracy of this unit. We bought a dock pole to attach the sensor too. I have a week long trip coming up on a very familiar lake and it will get the full usage then. As other reviews has noted the color screen as cool as it may be, it is difficult to see in sunlight. For the price, you are not going to get hurt.

It is all but impossible to read the screen in bright sunlight, like when you're fishing. Otherwise its ok.

The product description says it can "it detects both fish location and fish size", but there is no way to tell fish size on screen, what a lie...
