It's a nice bird cage
It's not preassembled, but is fairly easy to do. Nice size

It's very difficult to install but looks good.
The media could not be loaded. This birdcage is very difficult to install, it is made in China, but the instruction manual is not in Chinese or English, only Spanish. and it is completely useless. The door is designed to be difficult to open and close. I can't close the door with one hand. The door opens and closes loudly and it scares my bird every time. But it's good looking and heavy duty. The price is cheap : about $90 (including shipping and tax), so I'm giving it 5 stars.

I now know why it was so cheap
I am getting the necessary items together in preparation for a cockatiel. I gathered 5 bird cages in my amazon cart and narrowed them down to this one. This one was one of the least expensive and it had most of the features I wanted. I wanted a cage that was at least 20" with an open top and a stand. When I started putting the cage together, I figured out why it was so cheap. The metal finish on the cage is amazing. It is hammered metal. It feels and looks great. The problem is the assembly. The instructions did not contain any pics to help. It was only paragraphs. I really like to have some sort of picture to accompany the instructions. It makes things easier. Not a deal breaker though. Let me continue...Parts of the cage are already attached, but other parts have to be attached by the purchaser. That in and of itself is not the problem. The issue is the "hooks" that attach the sides together. They must be crimped together with pliers. In order to not scratch the finish, you have to use fabric between the hooks and the pliers. The problem with that is that it is very difficult to do. The cloth gets in the way and it is hard to find the part you are supposed to crimp. Plus, the pliers I used did not easily fit where there needed to in order to crimp it in the first place, and they were pretty small pliers! There was much creativity and many a scraped knuckle on my part putting that thing together. One of the other problems I had was with the doors. The doors were all pre-crimped into place. That is only a problem because I had to open almost all of them and re-crimp them in order to make the doors work! The hooks were crimped closed crooked causing the doors to not open and close properly. Some of them would not open at all until I adjusted them. Then there is the tray in the bottom. The tray sits on a wire grate to keep it elevated and easier to remove for cleaning. That is great, except trying to get that grate in the right spot was a total B*TCH! It still does not fit right, but at least it is flat now. I will leave it as is.Finally, it comes with 2 silver metal feeding bowls with metal rings which utilized metal brackets to attach it to the cage. The metal brackets use wing nuts to hold them in place on the bars of the cage. First problem with these bowls was that one did not fit in the ring that allowes it to hang on the bars of the cage. It gets stuck part way and then it is hard to get out again. The last issue I had with the feeder/watering bowls was the screw on the back of one of the brackets. The wing nut stripped and will not tighten all the way. No idea how that happened. I am not that strong. Seems like poor material. All in all, I am satisfied enough with this cage, especially given the $80 price tag. My only problem was how frustrating it was putting it together. Although it wasn't too hard to figure out where things went, there were too many complications.

Good product.
Easy to assemble but better clearer instructions are needed.

Great Cage for the Price
Purchased this cage recently for my two pastel Gouldian Finches. The cage didn't come with instructions, but it is self-explanatory and was very easy to put together. The quality of the cage itself is nice and seems to be very durable and sturdy - not at all like the cheaper wired cages. The size is excellent for my Gouldian's and big enough for them to exercise their wings. I also like the design of the stand - it's unique! The only minor complaints I have about this cage - the packing job was poor and the box it shipped in didn't even close all the way (the gap was sealed with tape), so it seems some pieces got bent in a way that created gaps where there shouldn't be gaps. Luckily, I was able to use pliers to bend the wires enough to close the gaps for the safety of my birds. The latch that keeps the top doors closed is also useless because of the way it's designed. It doesn't actually secure the doors shut. Easy fix since I won't ever utilize them, just ziptied it so they stay shut. The perches were also an entire 1in longer than the cage, so they didn't even fit. I could easily modify them to fit, but I just used my own perches instead. Overall, it is a very nice cage and great for the price. I do recommend it with caution, as you may need to make some very minor adjustments.

wish I could give zero stars
Cage I received does not stay together. It is of poor quality and not easy to assemble. The biggest problem is the top panels of this cage does not have tabs to keep it secure. Tried to work with seller to get replacement parts but they sent the same parts. One bowl does not fit into round holder ring, replacement bowl BARELY fit and would be a pain to use daily trying to get it unstuck. Top perch which would be on top of cage when open has broken wood and is of poor quality.I do not recommend this cage. I am so frustrated because seller should have checked replacement parts before they sent them. Am waiting for return label so to get refund.
