If you already own the main eight KW studio albums, and even if you have Minimum-Maximum and/or other live recordings, this is still an essential purchase. It is Kraftwerk at their superb best.The main sequence of albums displays the development of their sound production techniques. This set, which reproduces those works pretty much track-by-track, was all recorded over a brief period of time so it does not do that; instead, it offers the finest of acoustic experiences in a consistent and satisfying manner. It may come across at first as simple music but there is a for the attentive listener lot to hear and enjoy.Personally, as a Kraftwerk fan, I am coming to regard these "live" versions as the equal of the original studio versions. They are that good.This is no minor addendum to the oeuvre. I think it is a worthy summation of the band's work. Pay the asking price and be glad you did.

Buy this if you like the 80’s and 90’s music.

An excellent and really interesting live rendering of all their albums. Well worth the money and beautifully packaged; though more photos etc wouldn't go amiss.

Fantastic sound resolution, they did an amazing job with that one. I love how it sounds fresh and brand new, even the packaging is exquisite and really good looking. Definitely recommended to every fan of these pioneers.

What a brilliant box set. I was pretty sceptical at first about potentially re-buying what I had, or what I thought I had. However the new versions of the album tracks are even better in my opinion, sounding new all over again.

Kraftwerk hat Musik neu erfunden. Die Düsseldorfer sind DIE Pioniere der elektronischen Musik. Die Edition "3-D Der Katalog" umfasst eindrucksvoll ihr Lebenswerk. Die acht Alben Autobahn, Radio-Aktivität, Trans Europa Express, Die Mensch-Maschine, Computerwelt, Techno Pop (früher Electric Cafe), The Mix und Tour De France wurden überarbeitet und klingen einfach überragend. Mein eindeutiger Favorit ist das Album Computerwelt, gefolgt von Electric Cafe (bevor es Techno Pop wurde). Mein Tipp: Auf jeden Fall die deutschesprachige Originalversion kaufen.PS: Und wie geil wäre es, wenn uns Kraftwerk mit neuer Musik überraschen würde?

Fan ultime de Kraftwerk depuis 35 ans, j'attendais cet enieme "Katalog" avec un mélange d'impatience et de circonspection.Force est de constater qu'ici tout n'est qu'ordre et beauté, Luxe, calme et volupté.Même si le groupe n'a produit aucun album immortel depuis plus de 35 ans, il est ici à son sommet, sonique et conceptuel.Ces enregistrements, splendides, re-création studio de leur set Live de ces dernières années, sont d'une perfection toute kraftwerkienne.Loin de l'escroquerie de leur calamiteux "the mix" de 1991, ces nouvelles interprétations mêlent la richesse sonore des albums d'origine tout en leur apportant une cohérence d'ensemble plutôt bluffante (et un son incroyable)Ce coffret n'a pas la prétention de remplacer les enregistrements d'origine mais offre une vision alternative, augmentée, 3.0, idéale, final cut, contemporaine et intemporelle de leur œuvre.5 étoiles amplement méritées
