classic tool
after about 35 minutes of tuning, aka sharpening , you will uncover a beautiful tool that is pleasing to learn to use. A classic addition to a hand plane collection. Tom in Michigan

Pretty poor quality control
While I can fix it this copy of the Stanley rabbet plane was built to a pretty low standard.The iron was not even close to sharpened; the throat adjuster is not useable for the forward bullnose plane position, just the frog can be used; and the machine for the adjustable fence is off by ~5* or more.These care not undetected ‘errors’ they are abject inattention to quality control. The fence issue is due to the guide rod hole being bored out of square with the sole, for example.I’m going to true it, sharpen the iron, and probably cut’n’weld the fence arm to make it parallel. This will make it serviceable for lapstrake boat stem fitment and tuning tenon cheeks.

Only thing i may dislike is that i didn't get 2 blades otherwise i love everything about it i have one already but its so useful to me i had to get a back up

Product Quality
Product is of very low quality and precision. Blade is thin and not conducive to multi sharpenings.
