Oregon & Northern California Coast Road & Recreation Map, 8th Edition

The title of this especially detailed informative map is the "Oregon & Northern California Coast Road". I am completely mystified by some other reviewer's comments saying that this map "...lacked detail for...the Portland Area..." and that "only the coastline is viewable" and "...has too limited of (sic) area to be helpful". Either these reviewer's did not read the title of the map or they are so lacking in geographical knowledge that they did not understand the significance of the title of the map. I am a map collector and am reasonably adept at reading and understanding maps. I also live in this beautiful area of the Pacific Northwest and I am a frequent traveler to this magnificent coast. Using this map as an accompaniment with the Delorme Atlas and Gazetters provides the best source for studying and familiarizing oneself with this specific area. This map also includes a small portion of coastal Washington immediately north of Astoria, Oregon. And included are very well detailed maps of many of the cities and towns on this coastal road. There is an extensive listing of recreational sites and other points of interest to the traveler and vacationer. The map's coloring and layout makes it particularly easy to use. It is an outstanding map!

Let me state right away this is a wonderful map well worth getting. The reason for two stars missing is that the map of Oregon & No Calif Coast covers very little of Northern California (only about as high as Redding). That being said it’s really a great map and I have learned a lot of very interesting points to explore on my motorcycle trip. However I think a map including Northern California should cover to SF. Good resource and glad I have it. Maybe they should make a Cal Coast book???

I highly recommend this book to anyone visiting or traveling through Northern California-Lost Coast/or Oregon. There are excellent maps, guides for nearly every region, every major site, City and town. Everything from food recommendation,Hikes, history, to sites you probably couldn't have found without a guide.

This has been a great map for exploring the Oregon coast. Has details you won’t find on other maps. Note that it only covers about 10 miles in from the coast - you’ll need a different map for the interior of the state.

Your GPS and auto nav pack on your car will not do you justice on a road trip. Get a map. See where you are, where you're going and the entire coast with accurate relevance.

The paper looks high quality but it tears rather easily on the folded creases. I have tried to be careful with no luck. It is a wonderful map

I hoped for more detail about roads, but it is really focused on recreation. If that's what you want, it's probably a fine map. I doubt I'll ever use it much, I have better ones to show back roads.

This is the map for Oregon/Northern California coastal road trips. Maps 1 to 6 in one map folder are easy to fold to as you make your way from Astoria to Trinidad as well as inland destinations including Portland, Eugene and south to Redding and Sacremento. Don't just use your gps; See all the things you'll miss by not referencing this map before hitting the road. I included picture of Cape Arago in OR, and Trinidad Bay in CA from my trip in October 2019. Both locations are detailed on this delightfully scaled map.
