I primarily use this for looking at coins. I can also see using it to help with putting ho scale trains together (small parts, etc. require a microscope or magnifying glass at times). This would be perfect for that.Received microscope one day from when it was ordered! Amazing! :)

Excellent digital microscope. Only complaint is the lights do not dim enough for pcb soldering use and the focus control has a little bit of slippage sometimes when focusing but overall these are minor complaints that do not impact the use of the instrument. I use it mostly for soldering smd components on circuit boards. Some advice is to use the enclosed UV lens to keep smoke from getting on the video sensor lens.

I assembled and fired up the microscope on the day i received it. I am impressed with the quality and how well it works. i use it for looking at coins and couldn't be happier with the scope. My eyes don't work so well, so this scope really helps with that.

We really enjoy this video microscope. We use it to look at random gemstones and wiring circuit boards. It's easy to set up and has a higher magnification than I anticipated.

For this money, this microscope is impressive. It has an incredible depth of range and depth of field and it's relatively easy to use. The instructions are very lacking and it's awkward to extract your photos by cable. An additional port to download would make things easier. I got my money's worth.

I bought this to replace a cheaper brand so I could obtain clear screen shots of coins for sharing online. Great picture quality and the height allows enough distance to get the full image of a coin up to a 1/2 dollar size. NO regrets and highly recommended.
