PART NO. CMF401 CIMTAP, Paste Tapping Compound, 16 Ounce. CIMTAP tapping compound is a water soluble paste. CIMTAP is a water soluble paste that contains chemical and extreme pressure lubricants. It is recommended for a wide range of tapping operations, from hand tapping to high production automatic jobs on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. An excellent application for CIMTAP is on parts where the compounds needs to be restricted to the tapped hole to minimize or eliminate subsequent cleaning and washing operations. Can be used on steels, cast steels, stainless and nickol alloys, aluminum, brass and copper. Not recommended for use on magnesium or magnesium alloys.
