Montana WestMedium Backpack Purse for Women Anti Theft Backpack with Secured Zipper & Tassel

I carry backpacks in place of purses because it frees up my hands for handling my service dog. The last backpack I bought from Amazon was poorly made and the straps fell off after only a few months. This one already feels far more sturdy and I will update this review if/when it gives out.Good things: I love the cute chevron/zigzag embossed design on the front. The main compartment zipper pull is wide because it latches to a mount when zipped close, but the unexpected bonus of that wide zipper pull is that it is more arthritis-friendly. My fingers appreciate that. The front zippered pocket has a cute tassel decoration on the zipper pull. The extra hardware from the tassel attachment gave me plenty of space to clip my "EpiPen Inside" tag to. The front pocket is flat and doesn't expand, so it doesn't hold much. For me, it perfectly fits 2 EpiPens and the practice pen. Anything else put in there will obstruct the ability to completely zip it closed. This is not a negative for me because I always put just my EpiPens in the front small pocket of my backpacks, but if you're wanting to put extra stuff in it, keep in mind the pocket will not expand. The faux leather feels sturdy, yet is also soft to the touch. The straps are wide enough to not dig into your shoulders but not so wide that they look disproportionate to the bag. All hardware accents are gold colored. The straps seem securely stitched, but time will tell.Indifferent things: The zippered pocket on the backside of the backpack has a pretty deep pocket, about 6 inches deep, but my rectangular frame wallet doesn't fit in it. The main compartment only has one small zippered pocket.Bad things: the orange is not quite as bright ans vivd as it is in the listing images. I keep my phone screen very dimmed and it still looks brighter on Amazon than in person. That having been said, the color is still beautiful, just not the bright orange I eas expecting. I live in Knoxville, TN, the realm of the University of Tennessee Volunteers. It's all orange everything around here, and now my backpack is no exception, even if it isn't the right shade of orange.Weird things: the brand tag inside the bag is chunky with something hard stitched inside it. Where the last T in MONTANA WEST should be on the main compartment zipper pull, there us a little indentation of a T without the black enamel filling. Upon further inspection, I found the black enamel T stuck to the bag elsewhere. It easily brushed off. I included photos of this.Overall, nothing was a deal breaker. The backpack is cute and holds everything I need.

In the description, it gives a measurement that I thought might be a bag smaller than I wanted but I ordered it anyway. You can always use different size bags! It’s not huge, it’s just right for me. The quality of the faux leather, or maybe it’s real leather, I don’t know, but it is buttery soft and very nice. Really nice color. The zippers are great. I like how the main zipper locks on the side. That’s pretty cool. Very roomy inside and easy to grab things out of the inside. Nice inside zippered pocket too. The straps are nicely adjustable and very comfortable. I’d give it TEN stars if that was an option!

So I bought this bag for a dual purpose of a purse and a diaper bag. It’s the perfect size for both! The inside is big enough for a few diapers, small wipes, etc. IYKYK! It’s super light weight even when I have a bunch of stuff in it and the amount of pockets is INSANE! It’s definitely more of softer leather so it’s more durable which I like. It’s very mom friendly so it’s very easy to wipe down if something gets spilled on it. BIG FANNNNN OF THIS BAG!!!

THIS review is for the beige one with tan straps. Bag itself is very cute, with soft leather-y feel, and very roomy inside. Interior has one large-ish pocket that is big enough for my phone, but I wish it had another pocket for small items. Front and back zippered pockets are good for passport or other narrow items; they don't expand very much so they aren't that useful for other stuff. Zipper lock on one side is a nice feature, but I would rather have two zippers so I could open it from the top rather than the side. My quibbles are small and not enough to outweigh the cute factor so I'm keeping it.NOTE: I first bought the orange and turquoise version, but returned it because the color didn't match the picture (I was hoping for a bright orange, but the actual color is dull). I was pretty sad bc the bright orange looked very fun, but the beige/tan version is ok.

The main reason I bought this backpack was for the anti-thieft zipper lock. I will be walking around a big city and will have peace of mind that it won't be as easy to get into my backpack. The size is perfect to travel with. The leather seems durable and not cheaply made. It is soft and smooth. I attached a picture of the backpack next to a 16 ounce water bottle for size reference. It says it is water resistant. My trip I am going on will be a rainy one. So I will update how it stood up in the rain. Overall super impressed with the quality and functionality of the backpack. You won't be disappointed in purchasing this backpack.

I bought this on prime day last n a whim. Well made and looks way more expensive than it was. Very roomy. Works well as a backpack which is what I was wanting.

I love this bag, it's a decent size, gorgeous colour and I love that you can clip it closed at the side.However... The seam where the edging meets right in the middle at the bottom of the front of the bag really stands out to me as being poorly finished. I wouldn't expect to be able to see any of the white that is the reverse of the material. I can't see this on anyone else's review photos so maybe this is just a one off, but it makes it look really cheap to me and sadly I will be sending it back. I might try ordering again in the hopes that another will be finished properly tucked in, but as I've shipped it to the UK, I'm not sure if it's worth the risk of them all being like this... Really disappointed but I just can't ignore it
