Fast-Paced Adult Fantasy That Doesn't Disappoint
To start, I wanted to say that the formatting and structure to the book is great. I read the ebook version and it was very clean-looking and well-written.I don't read a lot of fantasy, but I figured I would write a review because I really enjoyed Kandor The Warrior. The fast pace is nice, but Leo doesn't lose anything from it if that makes sense. There's still world-building and good main character development, but you learn as you read, and this isn't just an info dump or an over description. The reader is allowed to use their imagination as well instead of it being spelled out for them which is nice in a way. With that being said, the imagery is still fantastic as the journey includes forests, swamps, plains, and other terrains our protagonist must plow through. The elements of the story are great as well. You have classic creatures like elves, orcs, trolls, and dwarfs, but you'll be introduced to other monsters such as lizard men. I like the hybrid approach if I can call it that. Plus, a unicorn spear is probably going to become one of the most desired weapons of choice from young girls (who probably shouldn't read this yet*) to grown men (some grown men).*This is an adult fantasy due to its graphic nature. That is something I liked. It's one thing for writers to say they write dark, but it's another thing if they can back it up. Leo got descriptive and didn't hold back. Kandor is a great character, but don't be surprised if you secretly like Morgana. There's just something about a dark powerful sorceresses that makes you want to back her, but you shouldn't, but you want to. It's great good, and good evil.I would recommend this book. I was surprised it was told in present tense instead of past, but again, I don't have a lot of experience in fantasy. However, it worked! The pace fits the plight because time is of the essence when someone is dealing with an aging curse... and vengeance always makes for a great journey and an anticipated end.Looking forward to the next installment.

An exceptional book
First of all I want to say that this is an exceptional book. The landscapes and characters are classic and legendary. The story is riveting and takes a few twists that the reader doesn't expect, which makes it all the better. And, though some of the characters may not be as fully realized as they could have been, that doesn't mean that they're not interesting (Morgana was great). If there are any flaws to be found in this book, it is in the presentation. I don't know if it was the way it was written or the way it was edited, but there are several moments in which past and present tense are mingled within a single sentence, and this makes for times when the reader has to pause (irritatingly in the middle of some of the action) and go back to reread something that seems garbled due to this problem.Other than this, I would say to the author, please keep writing. I would definitely read other books written by this author, especially if it is this kind of theme, which he seems to have a gift for. But, be more careful with the structure of sentences and the editing process that is required to get it right. As a new author myself, I know that this can be tedious, but it will be worth it in the end. You have the touch and the imagination to be an extraordinary author. Keep the faith.
