Makes undercounter lights GREAT!
These are an easy install for my under-counter lighting needs. They are bright at full-on cold, and can be controlled very easily from a smartphone for any color and level of brightness. Use as highlight lighting or just for ambient lighting at night. Really pleased with this strip lighting!

Excellent light strips with mediocre connectivity
These light strips are excellent with color reproduction, brightness, and response speed. However, after owning both these and the HomeKit over thread versions, I can point out a few major differences that I would consider "dealbreakers". The matter version currently doesn't support Adaptive Lighting, which is a Matter through HomeKit issue. I've also had more connection or "no response" issues with this matter version compared to the HomeKit light strips. I like the idea of only buying matter products for my smart home to modernize and future proof my smart home, but not at the expense of quality and features.

Nanoleaf with Matter is trash
I have lots of non Matter Nanoleaf devices in my home, they’re all great. This was the first Matter device I bought. Spent 6 weeks with their customer tech support and there was no resolution.Stay away until they fix their Matter mess.

Finicky with HomeKit
Brightness and colors are great. Extremely adhesive. But it was terribly finicky with HomeKit. I ended up downloading the Nanoleaf app and found there was an update for it, so hopefully that helps. The worst part is the pairing code is on the back of the control box, so you have to rip it off the surface its stuck to to see the code. Pretty terrible design. It could have easily been on the wall adapter or the side of the control box like other smart lights. I'm lucky I got these on sale. Definitely wouldn't pay the premium for them at regular price.

Great to use, terrible to set up & update
Once they're connected to your network and updated they're fantastic. Snappy, reliable, colorful. But my gosh are they finicky to initially configure with your thread network and update. The updating process has gotten better than earlier versions, but the initial connection is just frustrating. Still the best bang for the buck in the game though, and one of the few devices in the light strip market that support Thread. I recommend them, but be prepared for a frustrating first setup experience.

The light doesn't turn white
There's a button on the attached controller to cycle through colors. White isn't an option. I have to choose orange or green to light up the room. I tried to unplug and replug but it remembered the undesirable color. Very annoying!
