The description and photo clearly describe/show a V-back, but these have a scoop front and back. In fact, it's a bit difficult to tell which is the front and which is the back. Even though they're just regular t-shirt material (nothing especially technical about them, they're cotton) the tag says that you're not supposed to put them in the dryer. Of course, one of them snuck past me and ended up in the dryer (oooppps!). It shrunk maybe a size (from a small to an XS... still works). For this reason, I'd recommend ordering a size up so you can launder them conveniently (unless hanging everything to dry is your thing). In terms of length they're proper crop tops: I'm only 5'1" (156cm) and they land above my belly button. These are okay for layering under sweatshirts or wearing around the house with pajama pants, but I wouldn't consider them "athletic".
