Koval 15" Food Electric Griddle Countertop Grill Commercial (15", Stainless Steel)

Great little griddle. I use it in my food truck where low wattage is a must. At only 1500 Watts I was skeptical about the turnaround time in a commercial application. Works great with sufficient turn around for medium volume. Use it for grilled cheese, sliced flank and skirt steak etc. more than I expected for price. We are high volume but this works for us for a couple of the items we need a griddle for. Just bought a second for other truck.

I've used this griddle almost every day for about a month and I love it. Just as other reviews stated it does take a while to heat, but I turn it on while I prep my food and it is hot by the time I need it. The only complaint I have is it didn't come with any instructions on how to season it. I used one of the reviews posted to season mine and it worked great!

I am only giving it a 4 star rating because the one I received was damaged, it had a pretty good dent in the back lower corner, but it did not look like it would effect it at all. Have used it several times and I like it.A couple of things.1. It is quite heavy so be prepared.2. It does take a bit to pre-heat but this only my opinion, not have a griddle this size before, not sure if normal or not.3. Male sure you remove the wrapping on the sides when delivered this is a protective wrapping only, it does take a bit of effort to remove it.

I just received this product and am a little concerned. I have only gotten past the point of cleaning the initial rust-prevention oil from the grill top and sides and upon plugging it in for the first time it started smoking from the inside out. I have attached photos. Using a flashlight I can see some sort of insulation and am not sure if that is where the smoking is coming from or if there is oil on the bottom part of the grill top that just needs to burn off. Either way the smoke smells pretty bad and like it is going to catch fire. I obviously have stopped using it, but am looking to see if this is normal or what is going on? I really need this product to work for me this Saturday and don't have much time to resolve this issue. PLEASE HELP!

I have both the 15" and 24". 2500 watts may cause problems in some houses. Update: I dont know about all the negative reviews. Properly seasoned, eggs DONT stick, nor pancakes, nor fish... I clean the griddle using a bunch of water and even then it doesnt leak. I did take the time to balance the unit, so maybe thats why. I HONESTLY use this all the time and its one of my favorite kitchen investments, probably the best. If your trying to run a buisness from a $160 griddle, well... you might want to go work at Waffle House for a bit.Original post: You get quite a product for this price. Im very happy. DO keep in mind that this isnt really intended for small batch cooking. It would do a fine job, but the cleanup would be a little steep.

Use every day in a house with lots of kids to feed...best purchase in a long time! Works in a regular 3-prong outlet in my kitchen which is what I needed.

I started unpacking the box and discovered the grill was really slathered with rust prevention oil. It took me a while to clean it off and still couldn't get it all out. When I turned it on to burn off the remaining oil, the toxic smell coming off the grill was very intense. I put on a fan blowing out and closed the door. Half hour later I came back and the smell was still strong enough to make my eyes water. I shut it down at that point. I'm half afraid to turn it on again. If I ever get the gas burned off I'll update. I'm pretty disappointed though.

We use this everyday in our corporate cafeteria. Cooks fast, plate stays up to temp. Great having a backsplash to help in one hand turning and cooking. I'd buy one even if it only lasted 6 months. Just what we needed at a great price. This is not top of the line restaurant quality but it's waaaay better than home style griddles. Cooks twice as fast as $30 teflon ones from big box stores. No brainer here!
