Best Dog Treats Ever
I keep the box of these bull springs in a different cabinet than my dog's other treats because the box is bigger. If I go near the cabinet they are kept in and just look like I'm bending over or reaching to open the door he goes nuts. The first thing he does is give an excited little squeak and then scoots back in anticipation, tail going spastic. When I pull one out and show it to him so he knows he's really going to get one he starts running in tight circles, out into the living room and back in the kitchen until I get the paper off. When I start to hand it to him he leaps up, grabs it and runs off to "hide" and enjoy in solitude. One of these treats makes him happy and satisfied all day, even after he's finished. These are a little on the expensive side, but less costly than the ones in our pet store and they have no nasty smell at all. We love them, he loves them and they are definitely worth every penny.

Best Low Odor Bull Pizzle
The best bully sticks that we've bought yet!-Low Odor-Long Lasting-Made in the USAWe've been buying bully sticks for a couple of years now to contend with our 6-year old Norwich Terrier's bad breath and dental problems. Bully sticks are great as they are fully digestible and longer lasting than many other chew products. We've used rawhide and greenies before but I believe there may be negative aspects to each of these which may have deleterious long term effects so we've moved to Bully Sticks exclusively as a treat. Our dog is on a raw diet (Nature's Variety Raw) where her food won't naturally clean her teeth like kibble so we wanted to make sure that she something to chew on to clean her teeht that wasn't too many calories (she's a bit overweight) and would fit in her diet. It's definitely an expensive treat but hopefully it'll save a trip or two to the vet down the road so I see it has a long term investment. We've tried plenty of other Bully Sticks and my biggest complaints are really bad smells, inconsistent size/durability and questionable safety. RedBarn is near the top on all three of these categories for us.The odor for these is lower than most. To be clear, if it is a Bull Pizzle, it is going to have a smell and that smell isn't what you'd consider pleasant. The way I typically measure the odor is by how our dog smells by the time she finishes up. With these a quick wipe with a paper towel of her mouth fur and she'll be smelling fresh again in about 30 minutes.Good consistency in size and durability. I measure this by how long it takes for her to gnaw through one. She's a small dog (12 lb) and we give her half of one a day and it typically takes around 20 - 30 min for her to get through that and it is pretty consistent throughout a box.Made in the USA. We've read a bunch of horror stories of the Made in China pet products so we wanted to be a bit safe here. Probably not really an issue until it is but better to be safe. RedBarn has a great reputation. The bulk boxes are great for us since we give them to her daily. Saves us tons of trips to the pet store and keeps her teeth nice and clean.Overall a great product. We prefer the springs since they seem to be easier for her to grip and she doesn't get quite as much of the mess on her paws.

Great flossies with very little smell - nice and thick and takes longer to chew than many other flossies.
We really liked the Red Barn brand Bull Springs here on Amazon. They are much thicker and took a lot longer for our pug puppy to chew through them than other brands. They also didn't have much of a smell - the Merrick ones are pretty stinky and were very thin so our puppy was able to chew through them very fast. We have also started giving her "Be Good Premium Pressed Rawhide Dog Bone Chew, 8-Inch, 13-Pack" ($29.99 here on amazon) our vet said that the compressed rawhide didn't have the negative effects that the normal rawhide did. these take her about 40 x's longer to go through than the Merrick Water Buffalo flossies and about 15 times longer than these Red Barn Bull Springs - They are also much cheaper than the flossies. One thing I've learned is that it's not just about the length of the flossie but the thickness of the tendon that seems to be the most important thing.

Good dog treat--value add at end of my review!
I'm convinced there is confusion between the actual seller and Amazon. Earlier this year (4/21, several times earlier), from the same link, I purchased a quantity 25 box of Redbarn bull springs from a vendor named "Fat Happy Pets." The springs were of higher quality, more consistently made, packaged in a retail box, with a sticker bar code on each for individual sale. There was little/no scent to these dog treats. On 9/27 I purchased what was supposed to be identical (link and description was the same, on top of screen informed I purchased in April...) product, but it's different. The difference is that 25 "similar" springs come in a clear ziplock bag with 'X000NCZ2OF' identifying bar code on bag. None of the springs are labeled for individual sale. From the looks, these "newer" springs are not made in the same fashion as the ones in redbarn packaging, and they do have a noticeable odor (unlike redbarn packaged ones). It's really difficult for me to review these... Even though I never reviewed the redbarn ones, they are top notch in comparison. When comparing, I have to consider that I paid 1/6th the price for the ones I bought on 9/27, roughly the same product though--my dog likes both! I'm giving the product 3 stars because of the inconsistency... this product has changed. If I had paid the average price for these, that I did for the redbarn labeled ones, I would feel misled and would send them back. Good luck!Update: Since my review above, I've purchased several 25 packs of high quality treats. I originally gave this product 3 stars because of the inconsistency, but have up'd it to 5 stars because my dog really loves these.I've added a couple pictures that some may find useful in extending the life of a treat... I screw one of these treats on to a nylabone (either circular, or wishbone) and it becomes a serious puzzle for the dog! Yep, sometimes I'll even jam the bully threaded wishbone into a kong! (note: this can be a serious puzzle for me putting it all together too). Anyway--something simple that I thought I'd add. Take care!Update 9/2017: I still purchase bully's for my dog, but I've switched to these: 7" - 9" CURLY BULLY STICKS, bull bully springs - Regular Select Thick - Dog Chew Treats, (20 Pack) by Downtown Pet SupplyThey are less consistently made than Red Barn... There are also 20% less per bag. However, at time of writing this, the price for the competition is 20% less. They are longer and thicker which equates to longer lasting (atleast for my dog). I've been happy with the past few bags I've purchased. If nothing else, I suggest giving them a look... Take care!Update 5/2022-Ummm... Wow. EX-PEN-SIVE. My dog likes these bull-weenies, but I could feed him the same weigh in Wagyu filet for about the same price. lol. I can only stress importance of shopping around. Take care!
