I grew up using Melamine dishes and never thought I would own any, but being a grandma now I understand the value they offer to a home.These bowls say small so I was guessing maybe for salsa? or french onion dip..maybe individual banana puddings something single person size.These bowls are not so small but are so cute and practical!Pros:They are a great size for bowls of popcorn for movie night and not fighting over who ate more or who is holding the bowl. Great for oatmeal/cereal, ice cream sundaes, and pasta really the list is endless. They can be used for anything you need or want to use a bowl for from soup to nuts.Strong Melamine dishes are well known for being very break resistant. Which is great if you too have a crew that is sometimes less than thoughtful about how they handle the breakable dishes and super for children who do have accidents from time to time.Lovely pictures on the bowels. I am including a picture so you can see size and the lovely pictures on them better the seller's picture just does not do them justice.Dishwasher safe - top shelf only! (Not For Use In Microwave Oven!) Remember the few minutes it takes to wash them up compared to cleaning up broken glass from your other dishes is nothing.All items are made of BPA-free materials- GOOD to know always.If you do not know about BPA.
