Q: How do these mop pads refills compare to those disposable swiffer wetjet pads?

I find these more efficient in cleaning my floors. These are made of microfiber cloth. They’re thicker. I notice that they clean my floors better. I also don’t have to change the pads as much when I use these. For example one is enough to clean my kitchen and even my entryway. They’re reusable. I throw them into washing machine once done. I’ve had mine for over three months. And they still look great.

Q: Do these swiffer wet jet pads work for wet and dry floor cleaning?

Yes. I tried these through the Vine Program initially. These pads are "beefy" when compared with the other pads that are marketed for the Swiffer mops. They work well wet or dry. They work better with some kind off cleaning fluid. They Velcro in place and launder well.

Q: Is it recommended that these mop pads be washed before first use?

Yes. I did because being tightly packaged, they had a smell I didn't like and washing too care of that issue.
