4.5 rounded to 5; 100 on Yuka, gentle ingredients that can help skin; use before a moisturizer
Peach Slices is a brand focused on bringing Korean beauty to the US market, and it specifically focuses on skin issues like redness and inflammation. This serum is meant to be used after cleansing and toning steps but before a moisturizer. While it provides some hydration, it's main purpose is to help heal and soothe redness. One of the key ingredients is Rhodomyrtus tomentosa. I am familiar with many botanicals commonly used in skin products, but this is one I have never researched before, so I did some sleuthing. Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (rose myrtle) has been used traditionally and has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties. In skin cell studies, it helped protect against UVB damage, and there is a very small study on people showing help with improving the skin microbiome and zits. The research is still rather scarce, but it's definitely an ingredient that shows a lot of promise based on the chemistry. This also has Artemisia vulgaris (mugwort) and Centella asiatica (tiger grass, aka cica) which are well-known for their soothing and anti-inflammatory. I particularly love products with Centella because my skin really responds well to it.This has a thin gel type of consistency and a greenish hue; the spinach or Spirulina extracts could be responsible. It has a mild, somewhat fruity scent from the ingredients that does not linger, so those who are scent-sensitive will likely not have issues with this. On my skin, it absorbed fairly quickly, and it didn't interfere with my skin or makeup routine. While I found this serum to be soothing, this alone is not enough to combat my stubborn redness. I noticed they have another product in their line that I didn't get a chance to try, Peach Slices Redness Relief Azelaic Acid Serum (www.amazon.com/dp/product/B0D2QPWNVG). I suspect the two together would help a lot more since I already know azelaic acid is a key ingredient that really helps my redness and this serum provides a lot of healing and soothing properties.I am giving this 4.5 stars but rounding up; it's actually quite helpful and has excellent, gentle ingredients, but alone, it might not be enough as a redness solution. It's not unique in this. A derm's office sold me some much more expensive high-end "medical" brand redness serum that did less for me than the Peach Slices serum!Even though I noted that the ingredients in this are generally thought of as quite gentle, always spot test first. Even the gentlest of botanicals can cause a reaction in some.Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, 1, 2-Hexanediol, Dipropylene Glycol, Propanediol, Panthenol, Rhodomyrtus Tomentosa Fruit Extract, Artemisia Vulgaris Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Brassica Oleracea Acephala Leaf Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Spinacia Oleracea (Spinach) Leaf Extract, Spirulina Platensis Extract, Spirulina Platensis Powder, Allantoin, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Hydrolyzed Malt Extract, Tromethamine, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hydrolyzed Gardenia Florida Extract, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, Hydrolyzed Viola Tricolor Extract, Malic Acid

I don't experience extreme redness, but on lighter blemishes it works like a charm!!

It’s mid
I really want to love this. I love Peach Slices and I saw they had a serum to help with redness… I have used it for two weeks now and I have not noticed any change in redness. Does it feel good? Yeah. Does it combat redness? Not so much. I don’t know if I will purchase again.

Better than expected
After reading a few reviews on this serum from people that didn't seem to like it, I was a bit skeptical. However, I think it's great! There's not really a scent to speak of, which is fantastic for me. I also have extremely sensitive skin, so even "calming" products can sometimes irritate me. This serum does exactly what it claims to do. It soothes my often irritated skin and tones down quite a bit of the redness in my face. It isn't moisturizing by itself, so, I still apply my regular moisturizer at the end of my routine. Some people say that the serum leaves behind a sticky or tacky residue on their skin. I haven't noticed that in the slightest. My skin absorbs it with no issues whatsoever, and I can't even tell that I've used it after like a minute. I actually quite like this stuff and intend to keep using it!

Soothing
This serum is light and calming for days when your skin might not be the happiest. I did not notice an intense amount of redness reduction though. It basically seemed the same? It was a smoothing and moisturizing serum though, so I will probably continue to use it under my makeup on days when my skin is more flushed.
