Sound works on and off, still great!
I purchased this for my 3 yr old grandson for Christmas. He was so excited to play with it and hear the sounds. We were very disappointed that the sounds only worked about 30 minutes after opening it. I'm thankful that my grandson loves horses so much that he still loves the stick horse even without the sounds. If you're looking for a plain toy stick horse, then you might like this toy. Initially, the sounds went out, but they later came back on. Now, the horse sounds continue to work on and off. My grandson still LOVES his horse! Sounds were and added bonus, I would still recommend this to those with children who love horses. I'm sure the children will still love it.

Battery
Battery (sounds) did not work upon arrival. Can feel battery in horse's ear but can't get to it to replace, etc. Company owes consumers an explanation!!

Decapitated Horse Head is Big Hit
Purchased the Linzy Plush 36'' Horse Riding Stick in Dark Brown for my son's third birthday. He's super active and gallops around the house. What could be cuter than my toddler galloping on this horse? His excitement was palpable upon opening and assembling this gift. Immediately he identified the stick as a tool for destruction and mayhem. He (being a strong willed tiny human) refused to ride this as I demonstrated. We removed the telescopic stick. Everyone was much happier and safer for this. Now he gallops around with a decapitated horse head. It's a big hit. Hoping to reintroduce the telescopic stick when he's older.

Yeehaw - Great Horse for a Real Cowboy
I love this horse. Pepe Jr. was a wonderful companion until Rylie Jackson elbow dropped it during a match in Duluth, Minnesota. I had to put it down. Either that, or it's lost in my closet. Anyways, I ordered another one. Highly recommended.

Daughter's 3rd Birthday RUINED
Got this as a gift for my daughter's 3rd birthday since she'd always play horsey with my swiffer. I also got an additional one for my 5 year old as well so she didn't feel left out of what I thought would be a fun playtime. My youngest was ecstatic to receive this, only for us to find out the head was lopsided and the horse didn't make any noise at all. Not only that, but my other daughter's horse DID make sounds. We've had it barely two days now and the chief complaint in the house has been "Mine is broken—it doesn't make any sounds!" You can imagine the fights that have broken out over the one working horse...I opted to return the soundless lopsided horse and have it replaced. The new one arrived yesterday and, to my shock and disappointment, DOESN'T MAKE ANY NOISE EITHER.I wouldn't have a problem with these horses originally coming with no soundbox at all, but if you're going to advertise that they make noise, then perhaps quality control should make sure they ACTUALLY DO before sending them out, as there's no way to replace the batteries without completely tearing the horse's head apart. Absolutely ridiculous. If you don't want to ruin your daughter's birthday, don't get this horse.

Either get rid of the sound feature or make it friendly to replace batteries
My mother-in-law gave us one to one that she bought on a garage sale, so because I didn't want my girls (3 & 2) to fight over it, I bought which turned out to be the same one here on amazon, it was a pleasant surprise about the galloping sound effects, I had honestly not read that part on the description. When I check the other horse stick, I found the sound mechanism but I figure the batteries were dead, only to find out that you can't change the batteries, how dumb is that? now I have the girls fighting over the one that makes sounds (until it stops working). Other than that the horse head and everything is a great classic toy.
