The Beatles! are here again,
The Beatles 1965 cartoon, from King features, yes, just like the 1968 movie "Yellow Submerine".This actually gets 5 stars from me, but with durability being a issue (a little, not a lot) I give it 4-5 stars. This time, just like for the Yellow Submerine figures, Apple corp, said yes, and McFarlane obliged, or, the other way around, or something like that.It looks just like the cartoon. The guitar looks cool, just like John's electric Rick. Comes with a stand, which is actually the stage. Not sure if I'd recommend this for kids under 10. It's a collectors item, for the most part, but, kids can play with them, just be careful, its not real durable. Will they know anything about it without the cartoons?(Only bootlegs exist, so far).Which makes you wonder, are the cartoons next to be released? if so, isn't the cart before the horse here? Its a great toy regardless, you don't see these often, and I doubt they'll be around forever. Most Beatles fans will want this. Get your's now. And of course buy Paul, George and Ringo as well. It'll be just like 1965, on Saturday morning, again.

Some Animated Fun With John!
King Features treated younger fans (as well as fans of all ages) to the Beatles' cartoon, which premiered on September 25, 1965.I love the Beatle cartoon series. I loved it as a child and love it now and own the cartoons on video. This is an excellent way of introducing new generations to the Beatles. This John figure looks just like the animated version of John. The acoustic is true to its real-life counterpart and I like the fact that this figure comes on a stand. If you are lucky and have all 4 Beatle figures, you can put the stage together.I would not recommend this for children under 10 as this is really a collector's item. If you keep the packaging with the pictures and comments about each Beatle, that, too will add to the value of your Beatles' collection.Beatle fans will certainly want these figures and will avidly grab them up and proudly display them. You can play Beatle classics from 1965 (that was a fertile year for them musically as well as artistically - that was the year their second film "Help!" was released) and enjoy some retro fun! Be sure to get the other Beatles for your collection. You might also want to get "Beatle Toons" by Mitch Axelrod. That is an excellent book about the Beatles' cartoon.
