RIKON Professional 10-Inch Steel Band Saw Stand

This is the best 10 inch band saw on the market. After watching you tube comparisons and reviews for several months I decided this is the saw for me. My philosophy is buy the best and save money in the long run by only spending money once for tools. This saw performs as advertised and believe me the blade that comes with it is super sharp and cuts well. The initial setup is easy and requires very little adjustment. The fit and trim is perfect. This is a rugged and stable machine. I put mine on wheels to move it around easy as my shop is very small and I move all my woodworking machines out of the shop to do my work. I am very proud to own this fine machine and I guarantee you will too.

Assembled well and is sturdy

The instructions are atrocious but it did come together and it's very sturdy. Getting there was quite difficult though as which direction to layer the legs in is not immediately apparent. Dropping the band saw on it is also definitely a job for two people.Take it slow with this one!

Well made stand that's easy to assemble, but you need to follow the directions or the holes won't line up correctly. Hint: don't tighten the bolts all the way until it's fully assembled and you can make sure of the stand being level. Although the pieces fit together well, there is enough play so that you need to adjust before the final tightening.

The stand I received was obviously returned by someone and it was missing one bolt. Luckily I’m enough of a hoarder that I had a bolt that I was able to substitute.Assembly is more difficult than it should be as there are no instructions (or at least not with the stand I received). RIKON had a schematic posted online so I was able to use that. Even without instructions it was pretty obvious how parts lined up. I can only guess that the seller (yellow hammer tools) didn’t fully inspect the return before selling it to me.Two suggestions: first, only finger tighten the bolts until you are done with the assembly. Second, the legs go on the outside of the horizontal supports. This isn’t obvious but it is the only way to get all holes to align.There is a tight confluence of bolts in the corners (see picture one) that makes it awkward to install them. This is a design flaw for which I’m disappointed in RIKON especially given how well designed the bandsaw itself is compared to this “matching “ stand.All in all I probably should have built my own stand instead of ending up with a returned product missing hardware and with no instructions. Even with the problems, once the saw is mounted the stand provides solid stability and no vibration.

Great stand! Heavier channel steel then the cheaper units like Harbor Freight.I don't understand the revues that knock it for it's height. Many stated the dimensions of the stand. I'm not going to order pants that are the size small when I need a large and then complain they don't fit.Assembly was easy and the height is perfect for my drill press. It is the same height of the stand that my Delta band saw came with.

Do you have an extra half hour to just throw away? OK, there are four possible ways mathematically to arrange a corner in terms of what goes behind what. ONLY ONE WAY will line up the holes on top. Wouldn't it be nice if Rikon would show you that right way? BUT NO, Picture #1: The same corner assembled two different ways. Picture 2: flat out wrong. Picture 3: no way to tell what you're looking at. So look at MY picture and it's easy: you are looking at the front left corner. Now if you've read this far, go ahead and order this because the quality is above average. There's nothing wrong with the product. (Except that there is no simple way to add casters, which would have been really nice, as others have also noted.) I just can't believe that Rikon can't assemble it correctly and I had to waste a half hour of my precious time. So if you're reading this Rikon, FIX THE PICTURES fer cryin out loud!!
