Functional, Sleek, and Everything You Need
I purchased this kit because my electronic cuff was giving me some strange readings so I wanted a manual option to get a more accurate reading. I have had secondary hypertension sense childhood so have always had to monitor my BP; I have a lot of experience with cuffs. This one is great, pretty standard. Gives a good reading.PRO: Has a SUPER big guage (like the part with the numbers that tells you the pressure) which is actually VERY useful. Cuffs with small gauges tend to flop around and are harder to use.CON: Stethoscope isn't the greatest quality. Gets the job done but picks up sound from the back sometimes. Pretty standard; if you need a super high quality stethoscope then just buy one separate.

Perfect for practice and at-home use.
Ordered this to use as a practice tool for a course I'm taking. I'm sure this isn't high-falutin' doctor's-office-grade equipment, but the BP cuff and stethoscope both work GREAT. The sphygmomanometer is very accurate when compared against other, more "professional" BP cuffs, and the stethoscope is a heck of a lot better than the ones we have in the lab for my class-- I can actually HEAR out of this one. The pulse comes through loud and clear, even at the apical site. The actual meter on the BP cuff is large and very easy to read, and I prefer the looped cuff design of this product to the simple wrap-around design of some others. Stethoscope looks fairly cheap and isn't super-comfortable in the ears, but it works well, and that's what matters to me. (Pro-tip: the "earbuds" are adjustable in that you can angle the arms in the direction that's most comfortable for you-- each arm rotates at its base.)For about $20, I feel like I got much more than what I paid for, and I recommend this set for anyone wanting to practice or to simply obtain accurate BP readings at home.Oh, one more thing: The word "stethoscope" is misspelled on the outside of the box containing this set. I saw it and thought "Oh, no... what kind of cheap crap have I purchased?" Fortunately, in this case, this blatant error on the outside didn't reflect the quality of what was on the inside.

convenient for home use
We are pleased with this unit. Very light but quite accurate. When I needed to monitor my BP at home manually, we purchased this monitor and started taking the measurements. Our daughter who is a physician got the BP monitor from her office and compared. The measurements were very close. This is a lot better than the digital monitor we already have at home. The manometer gauge is big and easy to read. The stethoscope is quite light and my daughter is planning to try on her pediatric patients. Overall, it is a good buy.

Inexpensive, accurate, easy to use
I bought this blood pressure monitor to have around the house and use to monitor mine and my family members blood pressure. I was a bit hesitant because I hadn't had any training or experience in reading blood pressure before. Before I ordered it I read instructions online and decided it didn't sound very hard. It also came with instructions. I was able to read it accurately pretty easily. I compared it to the reading they got at the doctors office and it was basically the same. It is pretty hard to get an accurate reading on yourself though because your arm is supposed to be relaxed. If you are trying to read your own blood pressure, though, you are using that hand. That's going to be the case with any manual Blood pressure monitor, not just this particular one. I just thought I'd throw that in there because I was hoping I could take my own blood pressure. You can, it's just probably not totally accurate.

ehh, its okay
Its not the worse, but not the best either. This would be good for someone starting out in classes for something like EMT, Paramedic, Medical Assistance or CNA. i would think nursing, PA and DR would want to go for something a bit better. It does what its supposed to do stethoscope leaves something to be desired. Not super comfy to wear. the Sphygmomanometer is pretty chunky so watch for that.

Good value for price
Price versus quality seems to be good. Gauge, tubing and pump ball seem to be pretty decent quality, cuff material is on the light side so I’m not sure how well it will hold up but this is a very inexpensive set. The stethoscope is little hard on the ears but does what it is supposed to. I purchase this item for home use after purchasing an electronic BP monitor at a big box store and returning it. The electronic monitor was twice the price of this device and gave readings way below what my doctor was telling me my BP was. This product was much more in line with my doctor’s readings. Really can’t go wrong for the price.

So far, so good - seems to be a good value
I was just looking for a good sphyg, and was planning to buy a good quality stethoscope, but was pleased to see that this one included a stethoscope. I figured for the price, it was worth a try and I could always buy a better stethoscope later. My ears aren't the greatest, so I was skeptical, but it is sensitive enough for me to clearly hear for accurate BP measurements. I am very happy with my purchase. I guess I will put off my purchase of a more expensive stethoscope until my hearing deteriorates further.

Very nice pressure cuff - below adequate stethoscope.
Bought this for my daughter who's going through nurse's training and she naturally experimented on all of us at the house when this arrived. The cuff and blood pressure gauge work fine and look to be very well made, as is the zipper bag which you can pack it away in. The stethoscope has a very lightweight and almost toy-like feel to it and you can't hear much of anything with it. She couldn't detect any of our heartbeats with it, using it on our chests and backs, and only managed to find enough of a sound with it on my wife's arm to accurately take her blood pressure - didn't work on the rest of us. The cuff and bag are worth the money, but just be aware, the stethoscope included - at least the one we got - wasn't good for much of anything except a Halloween prop. Ended up buying her a higher quality stethoscope and she's been using this kit just fine ever since.
