Choose THIS juicer! Absolutely NO regrets!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I LOVE our new "slow" masticating juicer! It's a beautiful, shiny appliance (I got mine in champagne). It's very sturdy and solid, but all the parts that need to be cleaned are easy to clean, and effortless to take apart and assemble again. The reason why I put quotes around "slow" is because it doesn't seem slow at all to me. It produces juice almost immediately after putting the veggies and fruit in the chute, and it doesn't take long to get 12 ounces of juice out of it at all.I used to have a centrifugal juicer that was big, bulky, noisy, and a pain to clean up. It was so big that I didn't like having it on my counter. Cleanup was generally messy due to the parts being bulky and awkward, that juicing became more of a chore than a luxury. It also didn't produce as much juice as this juicer, and the pulp extracted was noticeably wetter than the pulp that comes out of this juicer. Which most likely means masticating juicers extract more juice then centrifugal juicers. And it's my understanding that centrifugal juicers kill more enzymes than masticating juicers, so I'm pleased to know I'm getting more nutrients out of this juicer.I'd like to comment on the MINIMAL amount of pulp that is extracted along with the juice. It doesn't bother me. I'm not drinking chunks like other reviewers have made it seem like. Could the mesh that catches the solids be finer? Quite possibly. But I'll take drinking a smidgen of pulp (literally, hardly noticeable traces of pulp) over the amount of time it would take for the juice to be extracted if the mesh were finer. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose. This juicer may be on the pricier side of juicers in general, and definitely more expensive than basic or centrifugal juicers, but it was so worth spending the extra money! I don't consider myself to be a juicer-snob by any means. I've been juicing off and on since 2008, but as I said earlier, cleanup of my centrifugal juicer was more labor intensive, and it would occasionally jam up or overheat. Although I've only used my new masticating juicer a few times, it has never jammed up on me. If it does jam, it is equipped with a "reverse" switch, and it also comes with a wand that fits into the chute which helps you push the fruits and veggies into the masticating part of the machine. And because I don't consider myself a juicer snob, I'm not really going to complain about the celery fibers getting stuck in the expulsion chute. It's only mildly annoying to clean out, but it doesn't prevent the juicer from doing its job. If you're so high maintenance that having to clean out a little celery fiber out of the expulsion chute is going to prevent you from juicing, then this amazing juicer isn't for you. But if you want quick and delicious, healthy juice made with a quality appliance at home, then I highly recommend this juicer!PROS:> Small footprint and aesthetic, sleek design. When not in use, it can be turned to take up less space on the counter. As you can see in the pictures, it's wider than a Vitamix and narrower than a bread maker.>Juices quickly with dry pulp extracted. There's a stopper that actually prevents the juice from flowing freely out of the juicer. I just forgot to put it on because I was so eager and excited to try out my juicer. I washed and assembled and juiced 2 apples, 4 celery sticks, and 1/3 of a cucumber. Delicious and refreshing!> Non-removable safety plastic at the top of the chute prevents injury by preventing hands reaching into the chute>Easy assembly and clean up. Comes with a cleaning brush (like an oversized toothbrush) to clean the mesh.> Wide mouth big enough for small to medium sized whole, organic apples and more than a few celery sticks for at a time.CONS:>Celery fibers can get stuck in the extraction chute. An easy remedy is to juice the celery last and only a couple sticks at a time. Otherwise, cleanup is still much simpler and less labor intensive than other juicers.>Trace amounts of pulp extracted into the juice. This was not a deal-breaker for me. It's not a commercial juicer, so I'm keepin' it real with my expectations.>Doesn't fit under cabinets on counter top with chute installed. This is to be expected. The good news is that the juicer has a safety feature included where it will not turn on at all if all the parts are locked in place--this includes the cover that also doubles as the chute. And because I plan on using mine every day, I have no need for it to store under my cabinets. If I was keeping it purely for ornamental purposes, then this would be a deal-breaker, but I'm sure we can all think of other things to put on our counters to improve the aesthetics of our homes.

decreased juicing time by 50%!!
we had an aicok masticating juicer that took us about 40 minutes to make a batch of juice. had to cut cucumbers, apples, put spinach in a little at a time and even had to tear kale leaves. this juicer allows you to put whole cucumbers also multiple kale and spinach leaves at a time. we are still cutting apples just to remove seeds because it makes the juice bitter to leave the seeds in. this juicer increased the amount of juice we get from the same ingredients by about 20%, decreased foam and decreased our juicing time by 50%. amazing purchase. easy to clean and quite a bit more efficient than our previous juicer. totally worth the money!!!

Love it but...
I did desperately wanted to give this five stars but there are a few things I don’t like. Stringy things like celery or ginger clog up the left side of the discard spout no matter how small I cut up the pieces which is annoying, and the reverse function does nothing to help this. Also, as I run it for more than a few minutes it starts to put out a lot of pulp in the juice(as pictured) and juice comes out the discard pile as well. I do love it, just hoping it lasts me a long time with no further issues.

Stopped working in 5 months-no product support-really?
I have bought 2 other SKG juicers and given to my children. I bought the 3rd in December-it was visibly different and needed 10-30 sec of slow turns before it would go full steam and then one day it just doesn't start-no sounds just nothing-very disappointed as both the ones my kids have are working well being up to 3 years old-it was obviously redesigned last year and I liked alot of the changes but it needs to actually work and now Amazon says I have no product support after 3 months. Seems pretty dirty that an item that is $270 is only good for 3 months? I was recommending the SKG heavily but no longer.

Works great. Solid construction.
This is our first experience with a juicer of any kind, but it seems like we chose well. This thing is sturdy and heavy, and the pieces fit together tightly. Feels very solid when together. We've used it about a half dozen times in the last month or so, and it seems to be durable so far.It does a good job of separating pulp from the juice, but it won't be completely pulp free. There will be fine pulp/sediment in the juice, which I am guessing is pretty normal for juicing in general. If you want to have smooth, pulp free juice, you will want to filter the juice through a fine cheesecloth or something. The pulp spout works well and the pulp slides right out. The only produce that had a little bit of a problem was celery. The celery fibers tend to get stuck, even though we followed suggestions to cut the celery into smaller pieces (2 inch segments). Perhaps not small enough. It didn't affect the extraction of the juice of the celery, but was a bit of a pain to get all the pulp out. Everything else including other solid produce like carrots has been trouble-free.Cleaning is pretty easy. Everything comes apart easy enough to flush out all the nooks. And the included stiff bristle brush works well at cleaning anything stubborn. So while we don't have previous experience to compare with this one, we are pretty satisfied with the purchase.

My aunt was very happy when i give it to her
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I bought this juicer machine for my aunt. Her old one was too slow and the knife was already blunt. This SKG brand looks very fancy. My aunt was very happy when i give it to her. After a couple of days, she told me this machine works perfect and she also said that it was a nice decoration for the kitchen as well. I am so happy that she likes it. I would suggest this machine would be a perfect gift for your family!!
