I LOVE AMAZON AND THEIR BOOK SELLERS, THANKS FOR THE QUICK SERVICE AND MOST EXCELLENT AND VERY FAIR PRICES, EVEN WHEN I GET A BOOK THAT I DON'T REALLY LIKE, IT'S NOT MUCH OF A LOVE LOSS FOR THE PRICE I PAID. THE BOOK IS GOOD AS FAR AS THE PHOTOS AND VERY UNDERSTANDABLE TEXT...ESPECIALLY FOR THE ELCHEAPO PRICE I PAID...I'LL KEEP BUYING THESE BOOKS WHEN THEY ARE SO REASONABLE IN PRICE. SOMETIMES, THESE REVIEWS MAY NOT SEEM THAT HELPFUL, BUT YOU MUST CONSIDER THAT WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE WHEN YOU ONLY PAY A COUPLE OF BUCKS-IF THE BOOK LOOKS GOOD TO YOU, BUY IT AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT-DONATE IT TO THE LIBRARY. I had previously rented this book from the library multiple times so I figured I should just buy it. Its a good book with a general overview of sharks and it has great big color pictures.

Nice introduction to sharks. Talks about shark taxonomy, biology, behavior, attacks, human use of sharks, conservation, where to see sharks, shark research, evolution, and other stuff. Includes lots of lovely color photos, further reading, and an index.

If you've ever watched any of "Shark Week" on the discovery channel, you'll already know most of the information in this book. The pictures of the sharks in the ocean are gorgeous though. So if you are really into sharks, and you need another book on the coffee table, this is for you. Be warned though that there are a few pics of the damage that man can do to sharks...and vice versa.

A tie in with bbc documentaryExcellent. Photos facts and figures and brief explanation of some. Of the main sharks well written if you like wildlife and sharks in particular. Then its a must
