Scheppach planer and thicknesser
The thicknesser was very good, planeing the right thickness everytime with a smooth finish. The planer took some getting used too, needing some down pressure on each pass to get a smooth finish, practise makes perfect. But changing the dust extraction hood was fiddly from planer to thicknesser but will get easier. Performance was very good and good value for money for a small workshop but being limited to an 8" width won't help a bigger workshop, always wear ear muffs as it can get noisy when planeing thicker runs through the thicknesser. Overall it is a good machine with no problems yet.

Very good bit of kit, instructions missing how to dial in the machine
Works perfectly well, one issue I found was the instructions didn't tell you how to adjust the jointer. Setting the back board to 0^ (90 degree cut) and using a set square I could see it was out by 5 degrees but the instructions said nothing about dialling it in. Wasn't all too difficult to work out but think it should probably be in the instructions.Other than that, it's a bit loud but that's to be expected. Initial set up is easy enough and the cuts are great.Solid Jointer and Planner for the price.Send me a message if you want instructions on how to calibrate the backboard.

Disappointed
Disappointed with this piece of kit... works reasonably well - you get used to standing and feeding wood through it. I hadn't over used it and the support for the table which holds the piece when thicknessing just fell off ! It was welded badly - looked like they hadn't made sure the metal was dry. (photo's) Not enough spent on heating the workshop - work first thing in the morning will suffer from condensation. Profit first. Contacted them but got fobbed off twice. I suppose you get what you pay for but not being a pro I cant work it in to pricing.Hope you are luckier than me. Still works reasonably well - some consolation.
